Great tips!

This book is great for someone who has never brewed a beer! There are some tried and true tips in here, however I would not suggest starting with malt extracts. Study before you start and jump into all grain brewing.

Good beginner tips, quick.

Quite introduction for the green home brewer, very quick book, gets some basics in and will get you started. Malt extract brewing not full grain. The price is right on this one!

How can this be worth 1 credit?

This is only a hour long and skims over major
Topics. Granted I should have paid more attention but I thought it would be more in depth. The knowledge given is good but I was expecting more.

subpar narration

narration didn't match the tone or enthusiasm of the story. hard for the narrator to love beer as much as the writer does

Just buy John Palmer's book How to Brew

What was most disappointing about Scotts Jason’s story?

There were several bad pieces of advice such as adding sugar to your rehydrating yeast. That might've been the norm years ago but now, it wastes the yeasts reserves that are included by the manufacturer. Plus, you don't want your yeast getting used to something that's so far off your wort.

Any additional comments?

This was essentially just a summary of John Palmer's book, with a few bad pieces of advice thrown in. For your money and knowledge, just go buy Palmer's book instead. It has a lot more info and it's extremely useful.

Horrible book

The book is severely lacking in the how and why. It was a waste of the couple dollars it cost.
