About this listen

Dallas MacGregor is living the Hollywood dream. At thirtysomething, she's an award-winning actress beloved by the public and bound for even bigger success. But when her soon-to-be-ex-husband, producer Emilio Baird, is caught in a sex scandal, Dallas's charmed life turns tabloid nightmare. Determined to shield her young son, Cody, from the ugly uproar, Dallas seeks refuge in sleepy St. Dennis, Maryland-the Chesapeake Bay town where her happiest childhood days were spent.

Reunited with her boisterous great-aunt, Dallas wants nothing more than to leave her Hollywood days behind. And when she crosses paths with local veterinarian Grant Wyler, her high school summer love, she finds he's everything she remembers, and more. But Dallas's promising new life takes a troubling turn when the unimaginable happens and she finds herself living a mother's worst nightmare-and Emilio storms into St. Dennis to save the day, along with his damaged career. Trapped in the unwanted glare of the limelight once again, Dallas discovers that it's coolheaded Grant who is willing to risk everything to protect her and her son, and to secure the future they were always meant to share.

I like that the romance is sweet. It was a little slow in parts, but I nice listen overall.

Sweet Love Story

This author/ narrator combination joins to create the perfect story to provide a much-needed escape from the stress these days. I love the town and its inhabitants, and if it had to end, it ended just right! I will listen to more audiobooks by this author/narrator!

A wonderful story, and a great escape!

Started with the first in the series, which was exceptional. My only critique would be that if you plan to listen/read the entire series, make sure you are paying attention to who all the characters are, not just the main characters. It does get a bit confusing remembering who is who as the series goes on! I absolutely love the mystery with that chance of romance

fantastic

Love these stories. They make me smile and I can’t stop listening to them. Addicted to the characters!

Love it

While I enjoyed the characters introduced in the 2nd book of this series, I was disappointed that NOT one person in St. Dennis appears to be anything but white. Does the author really envision any small town in the south without any brown or black folks? No native Americans? No recent immigrants? Marish, please broaden your horizons.

Needs Some diversity

It was a sweet story. Dragged a bit in some places but I don’t regret the listen and I finished it.

What made the experience of listening to Home Again the most enjoyable?

supportive families; happy relationships, some sad and scary bits, but things turn out fine.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Home Again?

The conclusion won't say more.
Relationship between aunt and niece. Families I would like to have grown up in, but i was able to make my own or we made our own. Reading books like this as a young adult made me realize I could have a good life.

Any additional comments?

I went on to this series because I liked the first one I tried. The ones about mercy. I'll read them all and recommend them to friends.
