The goddaughter of Igor Stravinsky and a graduate of Hollywood High, Eve Babitz posed in 1963, at age twenty, playing chess with the French artist Marcel Duchamp. She was naked; he was not. Couldn’t Let It Go

I liked the writer’s prose style and her savvy approach to the subject, and the reader was first rate. So that was enough, I liked them both a damn sight more than I liked Eve. I have to admit though, that Eve had a stranglehold on me, which I can’t quite fully understand except that I guess the author’s devotion to analyzing every single aspect of her subject’s life and art became eventually an obsession with me also. As riveting as it was, I’m glad to be free of it.

Really bad book

All book does is a name dropper and 90% I have never heard of. I expected a biography.. I was unable to follow what is happening and just got frustrated. Hated book!
