Just couldn't finish...

Great narrator but the storyline just didn't jell with me. Far too much teenage angst, self-doubt, etc. More angst than the Twilight series. Audible's Return policy is a real gift to frequent readers and, with this book, I used it.

Forbidden Love, Curses, and Finding Self

I loved this book and immediately went to look for book 2. It looks like it'll be released later this year.

I loved the voices used for this. The male voice was a bit distracting but I became used to it after a while and no longer noticed it. I would highly recommend the audiobook. The voices made it so enjoyable.

I loved the story a lot. The curse, the powers, the identity crisis, all of it. There was great character and world building and the story was easy for me to envision. The forbidden love and slow burn made it all the better for me.

My heat rating is based on the amount of occurence, length of scene, and how filthy/unconventional. This rates about a 2/5. There were only a couple if scenes and while being explicit they were not lengthy and conventional.

Unique and Original

Wow!! Really enjoyed Hollow Heathens. I loved the mystery of the story and absolutely love Julian and Fallon!!

This Story was interesting and the narration was spectacular!

I decided to give the audio of this a shot and was not disappointed! The narrators did a fantastic job! I plan to actually read the book in the future! Such a unique story!

I'm so glad I read this book

Nicole has a way of gripping your heart. This story was a wild ride and a perfect October read. These characters will stay with me for a while. I bet this becomes a reoccurring read for me. I'll definitely be recommending it to my fellow readers. Fallon and Julian's story was beautiful and timeless. I loved every minute of it.

Amazing story!

I can’t even begin to write this review. The whole story is captivating & epically told through some dark twisted history that doesn’t end or will make you think twice! I’m not a favorite of giving any type of hints or spoilers! This one should not be overlooked! Applause to this amazing author & mind blowing Narration! Those are hard to come by!

Unique

I really liked this unique storyline. The characters are well developed and the plot interesting enough to keep me engaged.

Reads like a YA novel.

Overall it was ok. The plot was interesting, but the story took way too long to come to a conclusion.

wow, wow, WOW

My words will not give this audiobook the justice it deserves.
I said something similar when I first read the book. However, the narration of the book took it one step further.

I got sucked into the heathen's world once more. Fallon and Julian's story—unique, tragic, exquisitely written, and beautiful—warmed my heart all over again.

Lilly, Vincent and Zara did such a fantastic job of narrating this book that I completely ignored my kindle for the duration of this book. It was possibly the best audiobook I have ever listened to.

Great listen

Heathen Season!

I read this book last year and absolutely loved it! Nicole is a wonderful writer and storyteller. With the release of book 2 in the series coming in the next few months I had planned to do a re read and this audio came at the perfect time.

If you love magic and mystery, curses, forbidden love, cosy fall reads, romance and star crossed lovers. This book is for you. Fallon and Julian are wonderful and I adore their story!

The Narrators did a fantastic job with this Audio. Giving a voice to our favourite Weeping Hollow characters and really bringing the story to life and doing the book justice. I throughly enjoyed it and whether you choose to read the book or listen to it. You’re in for a treat 🖤

If it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would.

Nicole Fiorina’s writing is raw and poetic, gripping and unforgettable.

This audiobook is my second reread of this story I and fell in love with all that is Weeping Hollow and the cursed Heathen boys all over again.

If you love star crossed lovers fantasy, cursed witches, a bone chilling gothic setting and some eerie Stephen King vibes this story is not to be missed. The romance is well balanced in this story but the core plot stand well on its own.

This story will never leave me, the characters, the emotions the visual imagery… this is the kind of story you’ll want to devour in it entirety and savour at the same time.
It’s fair to say this book is all consuming to read and as a reader Weeping Hollow wouldn’t let me go too.

The audiobook narration brought not only the characters to life but the whole story. Both narrator’s’ performance took this story to whole new level. Fallon’s emotions were so palpable throughout she was and captured perfectly by Lilly Drake. And Vincent’s voice was magnetic, dark and oozed everything and more than I could imagine Julian to be.

I could go on and on about this audiobook/ story but I’ll let you make up your mind yourself.
This is the perfect October/ Autumnal read- ready for a heart stopping read that will give you goosebumps!!

Perfection 🌙

Honestly listening to hollow heathens for the first time was just as good as reading hollow heathens for the first time….
I said that this would always be up there as a top read for me, and listening to these guys has just shot it up the leaderboard as my new favourite audiobook ….
I gushed and gushed to everybody when I first read it and now I’ll be doing the same to the audio, and what a perfect season to listen to it….

I’m going to do another listen in the lead up to Halloween because now it just wouldn’t feel right not to…

It was magical

This audiobook changed everything for me!

I fell in love with the narrators performance - I was under a spell throughout the story!
I love the narrators Nicole Fiorina has picked out for Julian and Fallon.. they were a fitting match.. I’m usually very picky when it comes to audiobooks.. the narrators have to “match the characters” for me to continue listening - and they complement each other well!

I could just sit back in my cosy hollow heathens hoodie with my pumpkin spice latte and travel back to Blackwell.
I was sucked in within seconds; into my favorite spooky world - ahh it’s super romantic just like the very first time I read the book! It's all about the feels #weareallmonsters

I loved the way I felt during the story - it was magical! The vibes and everything that comes with the story.

It is a beautiful narration of my favorite fantasy book - I really loved it! I highly recommend it to everyone; even people who prefers to read only - light up a scented candle grab a cosy blanket and your favorite cosy drink, give it a try!

Occult Horror Romance

Hollow Heathens: Book of Blackwell by Nicole Fiorina is an occult horror romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lilly Drake, Vincent Skye, and Zara Eden. This is the first book in Tales Of Weeping Hollow series.

I originally read this book in 2020 when it was released and was so excited to see it come to life in audio.

I have to say the publisher note sums up the book perfectly "A forbidden, timeless, and haunting love story."

Nicole is an amazing writer! She pulled me in to the story from the very first chapter and I never wanted it to end. I absolutely loved Fallon and Julian story.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Bone Island: Book Of Danvers to be released on September13, 2022.

Lilly, Vincent, and Zara did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book! This is the perfect book to read in October!

Liked this a lot

I liked this a lot, don't get me wrong. I was a little confused in spots about who was whom and what was going on, but overall it added to the creepy, gothic, witchy vibes and I was here for that. This is my first read by this author and I can totally see what all the buzz is about. The audio somehow seemed to ratchet up the gothic atmosphere and I can hardly wait to read more about the Heathens. If witchy romance with full gothic vibes are your thing (they aren't usually mime but I dug this) I'd recommend this. I volunteered to listen to a complimentary copy of this. All opinions are my own.

Forbidden love with a drop of mystery and magic

I fell in love last year with this book and this year I was so excited to listen to this book.
The narration brought perfectly the spooky moments, the mystery and the magic of this town.
This book tells the story of a forbidden love, the story of witches and covens and how two people fell in love and didn’t let anyone get in the way.

Nicole writes feelings in a very unique way and I absolute adore it. Most importantly, Lilly, Vice t and Zara bring all to live making this the perfect audiobook for October.
Spooky, mysterious, sexy and witchy.
If you haven’t added Hollow Heathens to you library yet, DO IT. You won’t regret it
