He's stranded without his passport. She's surrounded by meddling relatives.

Love might have a chance…if her family stays out of it.

Top 10 Amazon best seller in Literary Short Stories

When Knox Campbell goes to Portugal for a short business trip, he never planned on losing his documents. Now he’s stranded in Porto, his passport lost, and his credit cards canceled. Unable to return to the US and without a place to stay, Knox turns to the travel agent who suggested the local day attractions for assistance.

Jacinta Romano loves helping her clients set up their dream trips, although she doesn’t usually meet the ones visiting from abroad. But all that changes when a client shows up at the agency while her meddling family is still there. They latch on to him immediately, insisting Jacinta bring him home while he’s stranded. Thankfully, he’s only staying until his new passport arrives and after two weeks of playing hostess, she’ll be glad to send him on his way.

Or will she?

The Romano Family series follows the stories of the Romano cousins of northern Portugal as they find love and their happily-ever-afters.

Achingly sweet!

This sweet, clean love story is set in Portugal. An interesting setting for the introduction to this huge, boisterous and loving family. Knox and Jacinta are too cute. The narration is on point. I'm ready for the next Romano family adventure.

Fun and Charming

Such a fun and engaging story. The characters were so well written and I loved having more of the Romano family. The narrator was great and only enhanced an already wonderful story.

Tender Passage

I have been reading these out of order which is a bit of a shame since one gets to know many different family members and if you haven't met them yet, the nuances can get lost--but the stories nonetheless stand quite well on their own! In this delightful beginning to the set an American visiting Portugal carelessly allows his wallet, with passport, to be stolen shortly before he is scheduled to return home. Turns out to be the best thing to ever happen to him! I enjoyed learning a bit of Portuguese, which is made easier by listening to Mary Jane Conlon's narration--she clearly learned how to pronounce words which DON'T quite sound the way they are spelled in English and are different from their Spanish counterparts as well.

Good Story & Narration

Knox is there on business, surprised he didn’t have wallet and passport more securely on his person. The agency comes to help, right into the home and heart of Jacinta family. Being without siblings , he can’t keep from smiling. Is two weeks enough time to fall in love with her, he has the family. Cute story.

Sweet short romance set in Portugal

This is the story of Knox and Jacinta. Knox loses his passport and wallet and turns to Jacinta for help.
The narrator does a good job. True love triumphs. There isn’t much conflict other than the lost wallet and passport. But Knox and Jacinta and her family are well described and it’s a sweet story.

Love grows quickly

This was a great story about Jacinta and Knox. I loved the characters and their interactions. This was almost a love-at-first-sight kind of romance. The couple got to know each other through emails before meeting face to face. The story is a quick, but satisfying romance. The narrator did an excellent job of making the story come to life. I recommend to those that love sweet, clean, short romance.
