Publisher's summary

Wedding bells are the last thing on 22-two year old Riley Bishop’s mind, but that’s exactly what he hears after waking up in Vegas next to a woman he just met - his new wife.

He never saw her coming, but she might be worth the risk.

Zoey Mitchell is high on life, free-spirited, and adventurous. However, learning she married a rowdy cowboy after a night of partying is not what she expected - even for her.

She’s risking it all, gambling with her heart.

Deciding to give their instant marriage a chance, Zoey moves from her big city life to a small-town Texas ranch. She has to know if their connection is based on more than just a wild one-night stand before announcing to her family that she got hitched.

One moment changes everything - for better or worse - and a secret could destroy them both.

This is a full-length stand-alone novel in the Circle B Ranch series and a spin-off from the Bishop Brothers series. You don’t need to have listened to any of the other books beforehand to enjoy this one!

Getting Hitched on a dare

I loved this fun, spontaneous, hot, love at first sight, cowboy romance!

The narrators did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. Both Lia and Stephen were great to listen to.

The Kennedy Fox duo one again wrote an enjoyable, fast paced storyline.

OMG I giggled more with the audio than ever!

I have to say, Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter NAILED it with the narration. I read the book when it first was released but hearing it on audio had me in complete fits of laughter, swooning at the right time and so much more. They elevated this book so much and gave it so much life! My feels on the story will follow but I can honestly say, this is one of the best audios I have listened to in a long time!
This story is full of giggles and swoon moments that will keep you on your toes. I loved Riley and seeing how he has grown up. Then you have Zoey who was a wildcard in his life but their connection was so deep that you couldn’t help but root for them. Especially after waking up like they did in Vegas. But as they go through the paces, you find that these two are really meant for each other but there is always that monkey wrench tossed in. My heart broke for these two when that massive twist was thrown in. I understood what Zoey did. And I felt Riley’s reaction.
Overall, this book is a brilliant addition to the Bishop family that it makes me excited to see more! I love the push and pull, the drama, and those sizzling moments! I loved everything about it!

So good

I loved Hitching the Cowboy! I am a huge of Kennedy Fox. These authors were perfect at bringing Zoe’s and Riley’s story to life. This book kept me up listening late into the night. If your looking a sweet romance with sexy cowboys, look no further. I will be reading or listening to the others in this series.

Now I have to go read the Bishop Bros. Series

So I’ve come to know and love the author duo behind the Kennedy Fox name throughout a bunch of duology books like the Roommate Duet series beginning with the Hunter & Lennon story which began in Baby Mine. I’ve followed along with this series and haven’t really had the chance to delve back into older books up till now. When Wildfire Marketing group offered to provide the audiobooks for review as they came out, I decided to sign up for this one. Now I need to read all of them, AND go back and read the Bishop Brothers series to see where it all got started!

Of course we’ve got the sudden Vegas wedding at the beginning of this one, with Riley having to leave the next morning after with no extra time, and then we get a sudden letter of annulment sent to him with no explanation. So lots of stuff happening suddenly. Shortly thereafter, Zoey shows up and tells him she wants to see if there is anything actually there between them before she files the papers. So they do. And as you’d expect, things are great, it’s a perfect romance, kind of out of order, but still it all works out.

Until the big surprise plot twist, that I didn’t see coming, even if I felt her sending the annulment papers with no warning was a shock at the time. Now, with the duets I’ve read by these authors, normally that big plot twist would be the end of book 1 and I’d know a whole second book was coming along with more twists and turns and emotions. However, this happened at almost the 80% mark in the story, so I knew we were going to get all of this taken care of before the book was over.

And I liked the way it ended, it was perfect, we got a great epilogue, and now I’m also very excited to read on, or maybe listen on in this series. The narrators did a good job. I actually got nostalgic for my first college boyfriend when listening to this. He was a cowboy. I’m not really into that anymore, even as much as I enjoyed the story. But I decided maybe I just need a new cowboy love interested to get rid of those bad feelings and memories.

Sweet and Fun Romance!

This is the first book in the Circle B Ranch Series, the next generation of the Bishop Brothers Series. You can read this story as a standalone, but I guess it is better to read the entire Bishop Brothers Series in order, because the Bishop are amazing! I loved this sweet and fun story. Riley and Zoey are great character. Riley is handsome, hard working, caring, and loving. Riley is lovely, strong, and determined. I love the Bishop family! The secondary characters are great, and I would love to know more about them. The story has a great pace. Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed it.

Loved the narrators

I love a good married in vegas story. Like I live for them.

I know this is titled as an accidental marriage but this was like accidentally on purpose so idk if that really counts.

Either way, we have a sweet cinnamon roll of a character in Riley and a fun and free-spirited heroine in Zoey.

Hitching the Cowboy was just a fun and easy read. Well I mean there was this one part that wasn't so fun and easy but when Riley and Zoey were together like everything was right with the world you know.

I actually listened to the audiobook of this and loved loved loved the narrators. They really brought the characters to life.

This fun story is audio perfection.

Instalove and Marriage of Convenience books aren't my favorite... but I've always enjoyed KF books, so I thought I would give this audio a try.

The narration was perfection. They took on these characters as if they were Riley and Zoe and just nailed it.

I really did like this story. Riley is a sweet rancher who was a breath of fresh air. He is loyal and devoted to his family. Zoe is carefree, fun and adventurous. I loved watching them explore the possibility of a real relationship. Riley's roommate and best friend Diesel is a wild, crazy daredevil sidekick and I am going to read his book too. There were some times where I found myself frustrated with Zoe but she redeemed herself. I'm not one that is into westerns, but I want to go visit that ranch because it sounds so amazing. :)

Hello Cowboys.....

I finally got around to listening/reading the first book in the Circle B Ranch Series and it was one that had me recalling some of Las Vegas adventures and the shenanigans you experience in sin city. This series starts of with Riley Bishop and Zoey Mitchell's story. A trip to Vegas and an drunken fun night lead to an accidental marriage thanks to the infamous Bishop antics that ensues.

This listen/read is full of fun and surprises. Oh and be still my heart when it was revealed that they were willing to give their unexpected marriage a chance. That moment when they see each other again had my heart swooning for more. The challenge is whether two people who live two different lifestyles and class will be able to make it work living life on the ranch. Will it be enough for one to uproot their life into country living? Their chemistry is undeniably hot and intense; however, will it be enough?

The narrations by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter was a good combination when representing Riley and Zoey. They kept you constantly intrigued by their story and wanting more. This was a such a sweet and fun filled start into the series. Hello Cowboys...looking forward to more of your stories!

Awesome Audio Book

I read Hitching The Cowboy awhile ago so it was cool coming back to it so much later. I love this family so much and now the second generation of Bishop kids have got me so excited. Riley is definitely a chip of the old block. I love how there are so many similarities to Alex and River and Riley and Zoey’s story.

Stephen Dexter was amazing as Riley and he is definitely going on my top narrator list! Lia Langola was great as Zoe as well.

This audio book definitely made chores like laundry, dishes, and putting groceries away far more enjoyable!

Fun story!

Hitching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox is book 1 in the Circle B Ranch series. I listened to the audio and really enjoyed the story, the narration and the characters.
Riley is in Vegas with friends and they run into Zoey, who is there for a bachelorette party. The two hit it off and wake up married. Riley lives on a ranch and Zoe has always tried to please her parents. She is a hairstylist, but her parents wanted her to be a doctor. So now they want her to marry a doctor. Zoe takes off to visit Riley and falls in love with him, his life and his family. Riley falls head over heels for Zoe. They complement each other so well. When real life gets in the way, how will these two navigate the future? Will Zoe stay with Riley or return to life like expected?
Hitching the Cowboy was narrated by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter. I thought their overall performance was good, easy to listen to and portrayed the characters and story in a believable and fun way.
I can’t wait for more in this series.

Cute

This a sweet listen with two likable characteres and a loving family. I must say I loves Riley's family and the overall feel of the ranch. What began with a dare end up with so much more, and the way dealt with it was quite believable. The middle part dragged a bit and damped my enjoyment a little, but it picked up at the ending and ooh my heart almost broke for those two.

My Thoughts on Hitching the Cowboy

Hitching the Cowboy was such a fun listen for me. I was so wrapped up in the banter and closeness of the Bishop family that it made the hours fly.

Riley and Zoey were pretty much impossible not to love. They may have had instant chemistry and attraction, but there was some real development of their relationship that was good to see. They were hard working, relatable characters and that was an important part of what I liked about the story.

The secondary characters were just as good. All of the Bishop family and their honorary member and Riley's best friend Diesel brought a lot to the storyline. They were always in each other's business with most of them working or living within close proximity of each other but I love those kind of families.

Lia Langola did fantastic job with this story. Her performance never disappoints. Stephen Dexter did a really good job as well. He had a certain gruffness to his tone that I wouldn't mind hearing again in other books.

Overall this one was a winner and I highly recommend it.

Zoey and Riley

Hitching the Cowboy – Kennedy Fox – 4.5 stars

Hitching the Cowboy is book one of the Circle B Ranch series by duo author Kennedy Fox. I listened to the audiobook version of this and boy did this deliver! The narrators Lia Langola and Tor Thom made this story a one day listen and I could not put it down. We’ve met the Bishops before, however, it’s the next generations turn and I could not wait to dive into this series. This book follows Riley all grown up and up to mischief with his best friend Diesel. The pair have an unforgettable night in Vegas that ends with Riley married to Zoey. Zoey is the fun loving, carefree woman who loves city life, however, when she finds herself married to a rowdy cowboy, how can she not give it a chance. The pair share instant chemistry and their story is hilarious, fun and sweet. With secondary characters you fall in love with this made for one of my favourite books for the year. The story is well developed, entertaining and sweet and I loved listening to it! I can’t wait to see Diesel and Rowan’s story and the rest of this series!

Enjoy Everyday,

I’ll say it once and I’ll say ALLTHE TIME, the Bishop Ranch is where I want to go! Listening to a Bishop story in Audio Book form but was a whole other level. The steam, that southern drawl, that family! Give me it all!! I have and always will give any Bishop novel all of the stars, and will NEVER stop recommending them to everyone

I need more cowboys in my life!

I really enjoyed this story. I thought the instant attraction was done really well, and I could almost feel their attraction leaking off the page (or audio file in this instance). I liked that we were introduced to the supporting characters in a way that left me chopping at the bit for more. And that we also got enough background on the older generation, that it didn’t matter if you hadn’t read their stories but it whet the appetite to want to go and listen/ read anyway.

Riley was awesome. I loved him so much. It’s been a while since I read/ listened to a cowboy story and now I’m kicking myself as to why I waited so long. If they’re all like Riley, you need to sign me up! The accent. The swagger. The sweetness yet alphaness. It was all the things.

I liked Zoey for the most part. I did get annoyed at her repeatedly saying/ or internal monologue that she didn’t have a choice. At times, I even started shouting at my phone. Yes, girl, you did have a choice and you made it. Own it and move on. Stop playing the poor me card. But otherwise, I liked her. I liked that she eventually stood her ground.

The chemistry between these two was off the charts. I liked that it started hot and heavy, then simmered down as they got to know each other, and then heated up again. The sexual tension, man, at times, I thought I was going to need a fire extinguisher.

There was a little production issue, and I don’t know whether I misheard it or it was an inconsistency issue that wasn’t picked up during edits but it took me out of the story a little. But it is probably something that others wouldn’t have noticed. It wasn’t enough to ruin the story, it just made me sit up and say, wait, what?

I thought the narration was fantastic. Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter were perfect for this book. Stephen’s southern accent is all the things. The transition from one to the other was smooth and it wasn’t jarring. Same as with the dialogue changes within a chapter, it felt like an easy shift. There voices complement each other well.

An satisfying country romance I got lost in

My first book in Kennedy Fox's Cowboy World and I loved it! From my understanding this is the next gen/spin off the original Bishop Brothers series and I do want to go back to the beginning when I can.

Hitching the Cowboy is a story based around the Hero and heroine meeting on their own trips to Las Vegas and on one drunken night they get hitched! I loved that there wasn't that panic of oh hell what have we done, rush to get an annulment. Zoey sends Riley the annulment papers several weeks later after no contact between them. After Riley returns the papers he is shocked to find Zoey on his doorstep wanting to see if they chemistry they had in Vegas is something worth exploring.

These two had a connection that interested me when they first met in Vegas but seeing them build on that at the ranch was everything a romance book should be about. Seeing their relationship build up into a friendship and then feelings develop from this is they take things back to basics was beautiful. I loved the whole ranch vibe and Riley's family made amazing secondary characters. The story is one you can just relax and take in, an easy read romance that leaves you feeling satisfied.

I was happily listening along in my little Circle B Ranch bubble, swept away by the romance between Riley and Zoey when the bump in the road makes an appearance and my heart dropped when Riley was caught up in it all. Still proving to be the stand up gentlemen he is even while his heart is breaking I loved him even more in that moment. Obviously things all work out in the end and this story left me satisfied from start to finish. Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter did a wonderful job narrating the audiobook and really brought these characters to life for me. A series I will continue to listen too for sure.

Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 A Heartfelt Delight!

This book in an enjoyable delight and I loved everything about it, from Kennedy Fox’s wonderful writing style to the storylines and characters they created to the perfectly casted narration performed by the talented Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to end, it is the type of book once you start you do not want to put down. The characters are amazing, they are realistic and easy to connect with. I adored Riley Bishop, his friend Diesel was awesome too. The two head to Vegas for a Birthday celebration and when Riley dares Diesel to do a strip dance at a club he has to take him up it, neither one will back down from a dare because do not want to be a loser. Zoey Mitchell, is a hairdresser from Arizona is celebrating her sister’s bachelorette weekend. They are in a club to watch the amateur dances strip, the same place Riley and Diesel happened to be. Zoey captured Riley’s eye but they missed their chance to meet, that is until the next day when Diesel and Riley join the girls and party some more. Diesel gets his revenge by daring Riley to marry Zoey, so the two have a quickie Vegas wedding. The book flips back to before Vegas and takes you to after Vegas when Zoey shows up on Riley’s family farm in Texas. Riley was surprised to see but was also happy about it. The chemistry between the two is undeniable, they are great together and for each other but she holds back impertinent information about he life home in Arizona, how controlling her parents are and how unhappy they are with her career decision. I felt she should have stood up them from the start and was annoyed about that but sometimes it takes longer for others to speak up. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted with plenty of drama, some great humor, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and the start of a wonderful romance. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another fabulous story, I am looking forward to checking out more of your books and hot cowboys. I am also looking forward to Diesel’s story, I hope it comes to audio soon.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter did an awesome job portraying the characters, giving each their own distinct voice. They truly grasped the characters’ personal, making each role their own and sounding just as I pictured them to sound. They also captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

Fun and seriously sweet story!!

Oh-Em-Gee!! Riley and Zoey are insanely perfect for each other. They wake up married to each other after a crazy night in Vegas! The saying might go... what happens in Vegas,  stays in Vegas but not for these two! Riley brings this big city girl home with him to the ranch in Texas! They both decide to give their snap decision nuptials a chance. What follows is exactly what we all expect from Kennedy Fox... amazing characters that seem warm and caring with some total fun sides to them. My heart was lost while Riley tries his hardest to get Zoey to love their possible life, his family and home, and hopefully him, as well.

I could not have chosen better narrators myself and you know I'm a self-imposed audio snob... so not just any narrator will work with every book.  They need to fit with the characters and the personalities. Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola gave such personality and so much life to this story. This story is what I mean when I say narrators bring life to their characters.  You FEEL the humor, you FEEL that tepid love tight there on the threshold.  They were perfection!!

Happy ending but had frustrating moments

So Riley really annoyed me giving up on Zoe by not fighting her. He knew what her family was like and she told him I love you no matter what and then he thinks the worst of her before her explanation.

I've almost finished the 5th lol now Ethan and Harper I'm regretting buying this series as so far I've only enjoyed Elle and Conners story.

Since when do Kennedy Fox characters give up on love. It's like they are all scared of love and just give up.

I'm so frustrated with this series.
