Publisher's summary

Dani Pierce is a master of the dark web--but now trouble has arrived at her front door.

The self-reliant, fiercely independent hacker knows she’ll need help if she’s going to survive her latest contract to build cutting-edge facial recognition software.

And despite the fact that the aggravating yet handsome man hired to protect her makes it clear he’s just there to do a job, it doesn’t stop her from appreciating how ruggedly sexy he is.

Gage Callahan knew his latest assignment for Callahan Security would be a disaster.

He scoured all of Europe trying to locate the computer programmer he was hired to protect only to discover she’s actually a hacker hiding in Alaska.

It will take all his ingenuity to focus on the primary objective of getting her and the prototype software safely to New York…especially with a growing fatal attraction he’s developed for the spunky woman.

Dani’s in deeper than she’ll admit, but her answers don’t explain why those who want her dead are always one step ahead.

It will take his military skills and her hacking know-how to save their lives and the undeniable fire that’s developed between them in the face of danger.

not my favorite in the series

I almost skipped to the end and just moved on to the next book. but I stuck it out bc of a peripheral character that is adorable and awesome.
I love this series, the characters and the narrator's, but I found myself really not liking the heroine in this one. I tried but she was self centered in the beginning, even he wasn't the best Callahan, and I didn't feel any chemistry btwn them- she does get better but still it just didn't click like the 1st two.
great narrator and is part of a very good series, so I guess it's worth a credit but also if you skipped this one I don't think it would be a loss.

I can't love this one enough...

While I absolutely loved this book, and didn't figure out the "villian" til the end, be prepared with Kleenex for the feels at the end...

Waste Of a credit

This was an awful book and the fake suspenseful constant no matter what was happening in the book tone of the narrator made it all the worse. Don't wast your time unless you want a good laugh at the corny love scenes.

Annoying leading lady

I enjoyed the first two books in this series. It’s not great literature, but light & entertaining summer stuff. But, I almost didn’t finish this one. I found Dani, the female romantic lead, not likable. It wasn’t the hacker stuff- it was her complete self-absorption and willful ignorance. Very annoying. Also Gage, the third brother didn’t have the personality of either of the other brothers. He wasn’t that engaging.

This will be my last in the series for two reasons. First, I almost didn’t bother finishing this one I so disliked Dani and found Gage kind of dull. And second, the storylines are way too similar. If the characters are engaging enough, well maybe, but if they get annoying and dull, I don’t expect future installments to improve.

Do have to say that as a regular audible listener, the narration was great.
