The six part series was funded by the South Carolina 250th Commission and is a unique genre for the young historian to learn more about this South Carolina Revolutionary War Hero. Both Joseph Goldsmith and Scott Halford have collabroated with Historyman Comics to produce this wonderful window of learning for kids of all ages by combining their skills of animation, composing, sound editing and voice over experience. Nestled in the shadow of Brookgreen Gardens, Woodlawn Plantation was the home to some of the oldest families in South Carolina. Corinne Hoch's new book tells the wonderful history of the property that once was her family's homeplace. Spanish settlers, artisian wells, and rice fields are woven into this story of a low country estate. During the American Revolution the land provided the American Army with much needed salt. British General Lord Cornwallis is said to have also visited after the fall of Charleston in May of 1780. Come walk in the footsteps of heroes and proclaim, Freedom Reigns!
