This detailed interview conducted by Frank Joseph of New Dawn Magazine with author VK Clark answers a number of questions about Germany's foreign and non-German military participation, their motivations, Nazi racism, the Waffen-SS, and a number of other important World War II issues in a interview. An ideal starter book for anyone who is new to this fascinating subject matter.
Strange that you never hear about all the non-German Nazis that served on Hitler's side during the war but as they say, "The victor's write the history books."
I think Veronica did a good job of objectively presenting this information, and I find it pretty outrageous that she has been attacked for it. There's noting anti-Jewish or pro-Nazi about the book that I noticed. There were Jews that served in the Third Reich too, which she touches on a little bit. This idea that every single National Socialist was racist and Anti-Semitic is just silliness that's borne from people's desire to have very distinct lines drawn between who the good guys are and who the bad guys are.
Maybe it's find time people grow up and face the facts that everything isn't black and white? This is something that we can hope for, but maybe the Age of Information will finally see to such maturity in historical accuracy.
I applaud Ms Clark for her courage in tackling this difficult subject. A wonderful listening experience that I highly recommend.

What did you love best about The Other Nazis?
I loved the content best. This short and sweet interview is so chock full of facts that no one could possibly come away from it without learning something new about the Third Reich. Hitler's armed forces were stunningly diverse and so unlike what Hollywood portrays, I just can't believe it. I recommend this presentation to everyone who still thinks the Nazis were ultra racist supermen who hated all non-whites. That is just not true!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Other Nazis?
I'd have to say most memorable for me has been learning that Hitler's Germany sold weapons to Ethiopia to use against Mussolini. I never imagined in a million years that something like that was at all possible given what I learned about the Nazis as a youngster.
Which character – as performed by John Alan Martinson Jr. – was your favorite?
This audio book does not have characters, but Mr. Martinson's narration is supremely done.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I actually listened to this book in three sittings because I really wanted to focus on hearing it well. There are SO many details...I didn't want to be paying attention to anything else while hearing it. So, yeah, 3 sittings.
Any additional comments?
Fantastic material! Thank you to the author and also to the narrator who did a marvelous job reading with such interest and clarity. I will be buying more from these two in the future. Can't recommend them enough! Thanks!
