Publisher's summary

A highly acclaimed chronicler of riveting nonfiction, New York Times best-selling author Neal Bascomb has scored hits with Higher and The Perfect Mile.

In Red Mutiny, he turns his attention to the legendary uprising aboard the Russian battleship Potemkin in 1905. After they are served rancid meat, 600 sailors rebel. Their violent struggle against oppression and hopelessness comes to symbolize the core ideals of the Russian Revolution.

Critic reviews

"Neither pro-red nor pro-white, Bascomb is pro-objectivity in this original rendering of the renowned revolt." ( Booklist)

A good review of a relatively little known, but important episode in history

Hard to finish

I am a fan of Russian and Soviet History and this was hard to get through. I found this book tedious, poorly written and the narration was average. There were also some technical issues (studio sounds, swallowing, paper shuffling, etc.) that are distracting. I recommend you save your money and ignore this title.
