Dramatic Stories of the U.S. Presidents

This series from the golden age of radio is about lesser-known experiences of past U.S. presidents. Due to references to America having 33 presidents, I surmise the radio series was broadcast during the Truman administration. Mixed with the drama element is mystery, as the listener is asked to determine which president is featured before the answer is revealed at the end of each episode. Bottom line: suspenseful dramas.

Wonderful obscure stories of the Presidents

second behind the Azusa Street one.

Which character – as performed by full cast – was your favorite?

Edward Arnold does a wonderful job in all 44 episodes

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It is almost 22 hours long - an entire day - I don't know if anyone could do that.

so good, wish there was more

old time radio show.... sad to see this one end. so great for so many reasons! my 12 yr old son, 2 teenage daughters and my husband and I all very much enjoyed this from start to finish. what a great addition to our library. great for all ages, except that very little ones would probably not understand and/or be bored by it. all are short separate stories, I believe 30 minutes each. we listened together over lunch times. it's kind if fun that they don't tell you which president the story is about till the end, so we also had fun trying to guess (had to pull out our list of presidents to have handy each time we listened!)
