Another good synopsis of selected events from the civil war. Interesting to hear the unconfirmed parts. The possible “lies.” Though that word is harsh. It’s all perspectives.

enjoyable read and even-handed.
it was an enjoyable read. It was in fact difficult to put down at sometimes. often civil war books have a slant politically but this one seemed even handed.

Well written and narrated
Hops around a bit; but, nonetheless a very good way to learn history, especially the lesser known details. Not as good as this author's Rising Sun book; but, much better than his one regarding the Wild West.

Enjoyed Lies and Legends of the Civil War very much!!! I was never a history scholar but appreciate how Bill O’Reilly brought all aspects of the war together and kept it interesting and factual.
