Very thorough, delving into the lesser-known facts surrounding the Christian Church, from Catholicism through the Reformation, and all of the people important to its history.

This book is wrong about origin of Churches of Christ (not Mormon)

The history presented of the Disciples of Christ, the Christian Church and the Church of Christ were represented on this book as creating of Joseph Smith and a part of Mormonism but this is incorrect.
The Disciples of Christ, Christian Church and Churches of Christ were begun by Barton Stone and Thomas Campbell along with his son Alexander Campbell. They all combined to form the Disciples of Christ. The a Christian Church and the Church of Christ broke off from that. These churches have nothing to do with Mormonism or Joseph Smith. Since the author got this so wrong, it has made me question how accurate the rest of it is.
