Intense

The book left me wanting more. The last two words were not what I was expecting and now I need to know what happens next. The characters were captivating and I still don’t completely understand Jonas. I look forward to book 2 in the series.

Fantastic!

Wow, what a listen! This has a classic gothic feel with great characters and plenty of suspense and twists to keep things interesting. On a personal note, I loved that the main locations in Indiana were about 30 minutes from where I grew up and so I could easily picture the locations! Amazing performance from the wonderful Tracy Marks, she really brought the characters to vivid life with unique voices for each character. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this series! I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Man!!

Loved it but I'm disappointed that it's a cliffhanger!! and I can't listen to the other 2 books in the romance package :(

His Secret

It took me a minute to settle into this story, but once I did, I was curious to see what was going to happen between Julia and Jonas. I knew there was some mystery, and I love that the author gave us readers a little bit of that mystery as the story unfolded to keep us readers interested. I could visualize this as a movie. I could see every scene played out, which I think is awesome.

The narration was good, and I believe that helped with how I visualized the story. The narrator was able to give each character their own distinctive voice. I can't wait to listen to the next book, and I hope that this will be a movie someday.

Twists, Turns, and Plenty of Deception

This story is filled with twists, turns, and plenty of deception. While I saw the revelations at the cliffhanger coming, it was interesting to see how the author got us there. The narrator did a good job once she warmed up.

The narration brought the story alive. The voice was absolutely amazing one of the best books with a twist that I’ve ever read.

I enjoyed this story!

I really enjoyed this book.
The mysterious happenings really intrigued me. I loved the
effect that Julia’s innocence had on Jonas. There were a lot of twists and turns in this story but I felt it was starting to lose the main story that I was really enjoying. I usually hate cliffhangers but in my case book 2 was already published so I could quickly move on.
While I loved the idea of this story I felt at times it was a little redundant and with that a little longer than it needed to be.
The narration was amazing!

Interesting

The story was intriguing and kept my interest peaked. Some of the writing was a bit redundant but not enough to take away from the storyline. The reading left me wanting. I didn’t like the readers use of a cadence through the whole story. The story itself is definitely worth a read

Mind boggling and mysterious.

This book is amazing! It is a cliffy tho, so beware. I listened to Audible version and I just love to listen to Tracy perform these characters. I swear she made the story even better for me. I love her male voice. So sexy!
This story is complex with so many feels. So mysterious. Attraction/heat. Motherly (nanny) love. High sexual energy. Prayer and moral values. I was very wary of Jonas, I just couldn't trust him. Yet, I loved Julia and Sidney so much, I wanted him to be genuine. This has been one of my favorite reads of this year! I have listened to two books from this author and have loved them both! They stick around well after you have read them.

Sex, Secrets, and Lies

What a journey we have here. Living a sheltered life with the Paster and his family, Julia is a bit naive and innocent. Taking a job away from home she hopes to break this cycle of sheltered living. She wants to experience the things she was taught are sinful in the eyes of the church. She finds it in Jonas Fairbanks. The father of the little girl she will be caring for. The house is full of mystery and lacks love. Even between the father and daughter who seem not to even know each other. Julia begins to bridge the gap between Jonas and Sidney (his daughter). Jonas is captivated by Julia's innocence and when she begs him to take her virginity, he is happy to oblige. Jonas and Julia begin to form the perfect romance. The kind with danger, mystery, and what the hell is really going on. Right before the HEA is about to happen...that ending!!!!! *running to Her Secret book 2*
