Publisher's summary

An omega bartender working his way through college. A rookie lawyer crusading to save everyone he can. Sparks fly from the moment they meet. When one resurrects an old tradition, will he keep “his” omega safe or ruin everything they’ve built?

Greg is a bartender at the Hellion Club. Sure, it’s got its seedier side, but the pay is better than anything else he could get right now, the hours are flexible, and his sex life has never been better. Some people look down on what he does, but Greg doesn’t care. He’s not looking for forever right now anyway. He has big plans for the future, and he needs to stay focused if he wants to achieve them.

Ryan is a Hellion Club legacy. His family has belonged to the club for generations. Ryan finds the whole thing repulsive, but his father buys him a lifetime membership without his consent. Ryan meets Greg on his initiation night, and he can’t get the beautiful bartender out of his head.

Ryan thinks the way omegas are treated at the Hellion Club is disgusting, so he revives an old Hellion Club tradition. He asks Greg to sign a “contract” with him in order to protect Greg from the attentions of other club members.

Not everyone is on board with this scheme. Ryan’s alpha family members are furious he would come so close to blurring a line. His omega family members are horrified he would associate with someone they consider to be little better than a prostitute. And Ryan soon realizes Greg might not be the one who needs saving after all.

Shees! Ryan gave me whiplash

So, okay, I'm a little of two minds with this story. I really, really liked the storyline, and I adore Greg. He's determined and strong and willing to take control of his own life. Ryan... he looks good on the outside, and talks big but when push comes to shove his true colours shown and he proves to be his father's son.

He fails Greg horribly, and I'm really happy that the distrust that comes from that isn't magically erased, and Greg is VERY reluctant to let him come back into his life. And, TBH, I'm not sure he should have done so, but, oh, well!

And, now, I must say this: I LOVE Keegan, and I can't wait to listen to his story :P He has grown a lot on me :D

Smooth Aussie does a good job with the narration.

Ryan & Greg

I really enjoyed this story even though there were times I wanted to knock some sense into Ryan. Greg is wonderful and I was very glad that after Ryan failed him, he didn't let Ryan back in right away. I really don't like Ryan's family especially as you start to see their true colors throughout the story. The narrator did a great job with this one except for some mispronunciations, but it doesn't detract from the story or the rest of the narration. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobok.

fantastic

Greg is an omega working at the Hellion Club to help pay his own way through college. He pretty much has no issues with his job; for the most part, the Alphas are decent enough to follow the club rules in place to keep the Omega staff safe. It pays well, provides health care and allows him an opportunity to engage in sexual encounters... And Omegas do have needs after all.
New Legacy member, Ryan sees Greg and wants to learn more on how he can help him and the other Omegas who must be forced to do the jobs at the Hellion Club. Greg tries to explain his view on why the job is actually not as Ryan sees it. Soon the two form a connection out of their mutual attraction.
But Ryan doesn't share and so they enter into an exclusivity contract at the Hellion Club. The archaic contract says Greg is exclusive to Ryan and in return Ryan's "ownership" protects Greg from other Alphas. Not 100% comfortable with the idea of the contract but wanting to be together, they sign it and soon see a love starting to bloom between them.
But Ryan's family disagrees with the situation and with the "low class" omega and start a campaign of intimidation and conspiracy whispering, trying to separate the two lovers. Things get further complicated when Greg finds himself unexpectedly pregnant with Ryan's baby. With the family ever accept the relationship? Will the family destroy the trust the two lovers have in one Another?
Read this well written, entertaining book to find out how these two lovers from different worlds find their Happily Ever After! Definitely a recommended.

Narration by Smooth Aussie done well. Enjoyable, smooth and clear voicework and recording.

Narration gets better

OK so the narration has a rough start but stick with it, it smooths out and is actually pretty good once we get through the initial wooden kind of reading. This was a great addition to the series I like that it brought in a lot of the older characters and it had just enough angst making this a sweet listen.

Wow...Just Wow! Another great book from Mr. Bates

This is book #-4 in this series and was a very thought provoking book. There is a lot of angst, family abuse, child abuse and not much intervention by anyone in the beginning. It is a given in the society that this book is written in that omegas are worthless and omega children are useless as well. It hurt my heart in several instances but our hero in this book is Greg, an omega with a strong work ethic. A backbone and working as a bartender who see's an alpha, Ryan who catches his eye and visa versa and they sign a contract for his supposed protection, Ryan's father is having him inducted into the Hellion's Club, but Ryan is not interested! When his family finds out that he has signed a contract with Greg, oh brother all hell breaks out and they let Ryan know in no uncertain terms that that is not right. But that's hard pressed to happen, as the alphas family decides that he has stepped below his station in life and they let him and Greg know their feelings in no uncertain terms. The brutality that they unleash on Greg is so awful and almost non-stop. Greg's father just stands by and does nothing to stop the abuse. Eventually Ryan comes to his senses and puts a stop to everything. The writing, the character development is very well written. This series is a thought provoking one for sure. Greg & Ryan

Omega Greg is working at the Hellion Club to put himself through college. Alpha Ryan is made a member by his father. Ryan has terrible ideas of what occurs at the club and is ready to save every Omega, especially Greg. Nothing is what it seems. Ryan learns his family is more terrible than he believed, but it may be too late and at the cost of any chance at a real relationship and the life of his brother. Ryan's family treats all Omegas terribly and treats the Omegas at the club as if they are little more than prostitutes.

Excellent Series

Reviewing these books is difficult because each one I listen to becomes my favorite. As of right now, His Savior is my favorite. The books can be standalones as any info on characters or events is touched on to bring the reader up to date.

Our hero is a bartender omega working at the Hellion Club. In that position, he sees and hears a lot of talk. When he overhears club members threatening violence, he puts himself in jeopardy to save an omega spouse and his two girls.

Narrator Smooth Aussie has an accent that delights the ear and makes the reader/listener keep right on going with the book. A particular word that had me giggling and raptly listening for was Hellion. He pronounces it Hell-Lion. It's a hoot.

Freaky bar tendering college student falls hard!

This book started of like what the freak is going on. Omega trying to hook up and gets cash in an envelope but don’t think they are selling the booty. Their mistakes causes a lot of grief. Portraits of abuse and miss trust is heavily influenced in this book. So the angst is off the charts. Break ups and make ups all through the novel. It does end with a happy for now ending for all most all.

Underlying dark themes

There are underlying dark themes and a group of characters that you love to hate. Aiden Bates has brought forward one of his most levelheaded and truly good Alpha characters he's written thus far in kind-hearted Ryan. This story was not one of my favorites, but was in no way bad. Definitely give it a shot as it may just be your brand of tea.
