Love the story!

Emily Tilton never fails to deliver a wonderful story. I wish I could say the same for the narrator. I found the slight lisp to be off putting. I’d love more by this author but not with the same narrator.

Playing the game

Our heroine is a pawn in a corporate game. Except these games are far more intimate than is usually the case.

This is the latest book in the author's future, somewhat dystopian, society where shadowy organizations and corporations control the world. And of course part of the solution is firm discipline for the fairer sex, keeping with more traditional roles. This is fiction, a true fantasy for some, but not necessarily someplace most would want to live.

As is to be expected from this author, the story is very well written, with interesting and well developed characters going through lots of steamy situations. There is a very strong focus on D/S and punishment, primarily spanking although others are included.

Of all the stories I have read by this author, I think this is one of my favorites. While it includes all the expected elements, I found the interactions between the hero and heroine to be more intimate than in some of the others. Our hero really does seem to care for our heroine more than just as a passing fancy, which made the entire story more enjoyable for me. Overall, a highly enjoyable read.

As this is an audiobook, I also want to point out that the narration was excellent. Clear and well paced, it was a delight to listen to.

Creepy voice

I found the narrator voice creepy. And male character voice horrible. And the female character unbelievable.
