It was OK

It was a nice break from darker stuff but it wasn't a story i got invested in. I'm not into instalove. Many tropes were in the story (age gap, fake marriage, traumatic childhood) but none fully explored. Not too spicy- I think 1 short scene and some conversations about spicy things. Overall, it was a cute story and i did finish it but will probably not finish the series.

Meh

Average, kind of cheesy. Overall the dialogue and storyline are very overdone, unbelievable scenario and progression. Instalove isn’t my thing I guess. I feel like this might be that. I just wish it was a bit more believable. 3/5

Mixed feelings

I didn’t like the fact that King pretended to be a therapist cuddler to get access to her. I’m all for an insta love story and for a man OBSESSED and I understand his mindset. That he did it because that was the only way he could get close to her but for me it kinda gave me the ick. Also he did not grovel enough for me when she found out and at the conflict towards the end. Especially after the things he said. I feel like it was rushed and she gave in easily every time there was conflict. I just wanted her to have more of a backbone. At least another few chapters of him trying to make it up to her begging for her to forgive him. I was hurt at the things he said and it wasn’t even said to me.

I did enjoy the book overall. Again I’m a sucker for instant love, man OBSESSED, my wife, touch her and 💀 vibes. And this book had all of those but it just didn’t hit for the reasons above.

a beautiful story

a little cheesy, yes, but it sounded perfect t me. I absolutely loved the characters. I can't wait to continue this series!
