Excellent study of Hillary Clinton before 1998

Gail Sheehy provides insights into the power couple and the excesses that colored their marriage. The narration is excellent, as well

Such a waste of lives

I thought I might come to appreciate, or at least understand, the Clintons better by reading this book. While I think Sheehy does a good job of chronicling their lives, I find the Clintons to be even more disappointing and confounding than before. How can two people who are supposed to be so smart and caring be so bereft of goodness?
