A nihilistic, surreal head trip.
What Blag presents here is a lewd, over the top, and scathing depiction of American culture. A nihilistic levity hangs over the stories of the ensemble cast, even as blood and bodily fluids flow through the paragraphs they're stumbling over.
it's offensive, it's biting, it's bloody and it's as funny as it is sad. I never would have thought it an easy feat to distill the raucous and vicious tone of Blag's band - The Dwarves - into a novel, but here we are.
All hail The Dwarves. All hail Nina West. All hail Blag Dahlia. Sounds peachy to me.
