It makes a nice, normal little raid on his lands seem refreshing in its simplicity.

love this narrator and series. feels fun and less epic than a lot of fantasy.

loved it, really fun read and well balanced. Action at the end was cinematic and engaging.

Much better than the previous book

I was worried the series was taking a turn towards me not finishing it after the monajatwa in the previous book. I was having flashbacks of how that famous vampire series got really wierd around book 3, anyhow it doesnt seem to be the case here.
The book was absolutely enjoyable all the way through and Mr Lee did a fantastic job.

I didn't enjoy High Mage... I LOVED IT!

I stumbled upon this series almost a year ago, and I have enjoyed it immensely! The writing is excellent, the characters are well-developed, the story is compelling, and the use of magic and fantasy bring out the inner child while reflecting upon this wonderful universe. What's more the performance of this Series has been nothing short of exquisite. The narration is second to none! I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys drifting into a story that completely consumes you.

Exciting story

The beginning can be rather slow but it picks up. Left me excited for the next book.
