Mrs. Eason did it again!
In the interest of full disclosure, Lynette using is one of my all-time favorite authors. I really enjoyed this story, lots of twists and turns, and fully written characters. Traci Odom did an excellent job narrating as well.

Chaos
This story is all over the place. EVERYONE is a mess! Within 24 hrs main character Erica has 4-5 encounters with the police, shot at, in a hit n run, one brother is a junkie, other brother rags on her, cousin is a whiner, etc. Bunch of angry ppl. Max hates homeless ppl(but gotta pray at meals),his sister is a junkie runaway,suspect in Molly (Ericas daughter) disappearance. It’s chaos! And all thru this chaos Erica is CONSTANTLY biting or chewing on her lip! Lol! Stopped counting at 10x in 6 chapters. Its epidemic in stories now days. Come on you guys are writers, enough of the lip destroying.
Anyway, pretty bad writing and shallow characters,gave up halfway thru.

Wholesome but predictable
It was a solid story and I appreciated that the love story was between mid-adults with history rather than a fall-in-love-for-the-first-time story. The story was pretty predictable even though I don’t think it was supposed to be.
