Story
Pip is a girl who can talk to magical creatures. Her aunt is a vet for magical creatures. And her new friend, Tomas, is allergic to most magical creatures. When things go amok - and they often go amok - Pip consults Jeffrey Higgleston's Guide to Magical Creatures, a reference work that Pip finds herself constantly amending. Because dealing with magical creatures like unicorns, griffins, and fuzzles doesn't just require book knowledge - it requires hands-on experience and thinking on your feet.

Publisher's Summary
When Nory’s magic first appeared, her father wanted her to go to fancy, selective Sage Academy, where he is the headmaster. But Nory’s magic went upside down at the worst possible moment, and she was sent to Dunwiddle Middle School instead!
The good news? Nory loves Dunwiddle, and her best friends have upside down magic, too! The bad news? When a flood wrecks Dunwiddle, Nory and her UDM friends are forced to relocate...to Sage Academy!
Sure, there’s a magical skunk garden, a school-wide Hide and Seek night, and expensive gloves that help Nory’s friend Elliott with his flaring, but Nory’s father and the rest of the teachers are super strict, and Nory doesn’t feel like she fits in...at all. When she’s offered the chance to stay at Sage for good, she has to decide where she belongs...and if Sage Academy can learn that magic comes in all shapes and sizes.

A great listening experience with a terrible story
It was mostly the story I didn't like (although the narrator's voice was a little much a times). The actions of the characters were not well thought out and in the end the authors tried to make it seem like they were by adding in stuff. Not only that but the book ended on a cliff hanger. This book feels to me like the Cursed Child of Upside Down Magic. I pretend the Cursed Child doesn't exist because it ruins Harry Potter, and I'll pretend this book doesn't exist because it ruins my view of the Upside Down Magic Series. I think that I'll just cut the last few chapters out of my memory.

Great book. I really enjoy this book. The only thing is it’s kinda sad, I mean wouldn’t anybody be sad if Elliott is gonna go to Sage and we don’t even know? Kinda sad but otherwise great! I was so happy to hear Dalla’s voice and Hothron’s too.

Books going down hill
The first book in this series was bright, interesting and the main character was a charming person. I enjoyed most of the other books with a few exceptions. Dragon overnight with Andre as a dominant character was a little loose in the story line and the first book where Nory seemed to change character. In weather or not Nory was all of a sudden a very unlikeable person. This book also has Nory spending a lot of time whining about things instead of her usual attitude of ready to fix anything, and her fix for her problem was not thought out well and executed even worse. There was very little substance to the whole book, plus it ended on a cliffhanger, which is usually a sign to me to drop the series. The only reason a cliffhanger is thrown in is because book sales must be down. So now you are supposed to wait 6 months to a year to find out the results.
