Publisher's Summary

A scared, lonely past and a dangerous secret follow Dr. Aiden Sharp to the peaceful town of Lake Cliff, Illinois, when he arrives to testify in a murder trial for the district attorney.

Some heroes are built a little differently than the rest of us, and some hearts love in a way we’re not used to. Blood spatter and exit wounds make more sense to Aiden than a casual remark or a quick wink. Living faces and expectations have always been more of a mystery to Aiden than the cases he handles for the FBI because of his Asperger’s, but he’s never let it stop him from getting what he wants. He wants Lane as soon as their eyes meet in the airport, but Aiden gets a lot more than he expected when danger arrives with a text message and a threat he can no longer outrun. Luckily, Aiden finds a safe place to hide and learns he actually has a heart, he was just waiting for someone to teach him how to use it.

Detective Lane West is prepared to protect the gorgeous but confusing forensic psychologist from himself and just about anything fate throws at them. But what about Lane’s heart? Despite his best intentions, Lane can’t keep his hands off Aiden, keep it in his pants, or keep his heart out of it as soon as Mr. Morning After works his magic.

Passion and pancakes bring two lonely hearts together, and an errand for the district attorney turns Lake Cliff upside down.

I will always love the story

I was quite excited to see that one of my favourite books was being made as an audiobook! I really love Aiden and Lane and listening to them is an added bonus! Yes, the audio quality could have been better, but a good story can (and did) rise above that. I really liked Mr. Sterling as a narrator, there were times he was a tad fast, but I really enjoyed listening to this 🤗
Bravo to K. and Mr Sterling!

More than Amazing!

I can't say enough about this author, I adore her books, her writing style, her characters. I hate calling Lane and Aiden characters because they feel more like friends. They are such special men and their relationship is breath taking, they have an amazing love. Plus the heat factor is just WOW! I had previously read the book and listening was beyond great. Mr Sterling did a fabulous job of bringing them to life.

Mr. Morning After

I love that the narrator has a different voice for both Lane and Aiden. I listened in the car while driving to appointments, and every time I put it on I didn't have any issues trying to find out which character's perspective the story was on. It's subtle but the difference was very helpful.

Aiden is so adorable! He was well written and so easy to like pretty much instantly. I love the characters that he portray's (Mr. Morning after is my favorite). I also really like the fact that when Lane finds out that Aiden has Asperbergers he wants to understand so he researches it to help him relate and understand Aiden. He also sticks up for him but at the same time doesn't treat him differently.

Thier relationship is full of passion, and the banter is completely entertaining! I side with Aiden on the laundry debate and love his attempt at bribing Lane to get out of laundry duty.

I'm excited to keep listening to this series and see what new obstacles are put in for them to overcome. I'm hoping that Clark gets what he has coming to him.

Great book and audio!

I was a bit unsure at first about the narrator...but it turned out he was perfect!! This is a book that will be listened to more than once in my library.

I had read the book a short while ago and was excited to see that the audio was available. I tend to do this quite often....that is . . read the book and if it is good enough, I have to purchase the audio! At least that way I know in advance if I will like the ending!

Lovely story!

I read this book when it first came out as written by K. Sterling. It’s been a while since I’ve read it (and I loved it then), so when I found out that Mr. Sterling helped make it into an audiobook, I jumped on it! I listened in the car on my drives to and from work. Mr. Sterling has done an excellent job on this audio book. I couldn’t be happier. He Made me fall in love with the characters of the book all over again.

Well Worth Your Time

Loved the premise and MCs. Especially loved the demystification of Asperger. The unfolding of Aiden’s story was well timed and fascinating.I can honestly say I loved this so much I immediately downloaded the next book in print rather than wait for it in Audible format. The performance was good but the sound was a little tinny. I’m sure this is something that can be corrected. That said... well worth it.

wow

A lot of the times with audiobooks I tend to fast forward when it gets a little slow. This book however roped me in from the beginning and I could not put it down. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

Great job!!

I love everything I have read from K. Sterling. But hearing it, was a new and wonderful experience. I love Aiden and Lane. Mr. Sterling did a great job reading this book. He gave each character a distinctive voice that was believable. I hope we get more audio books from K. Sterling recited by Mr. Sterling.

Great story and narration

Love this lady's writing, and this has got to one of her best storiess yet. Great writing, excellent characters and a first class, gripping story. What more could you want? Full of romance and snark, as one would expect from Ms Sterling. Loved both Aiden (one of the best characters she's come up with) and Lane. Aiden is not the easiest person to understand, but Lane is perfect for him.

Their relationship was realistic, emotional, and developed beautifully throughout the story. I really came to care for them and was just rooting for their relationship all the way. An absolute keeper that I cannot recommend enough.

The narration was spot on. The characters portrayed just as I expected.
