Engaging audio performance!

In full disclosure, I received a free copy of this audiobook from the narrator (a friend). I greatly enjoyed this book and the audio performance. Holli’s voice is perfect for the Kentucky setting and brings authenticity to the story. Her narration keeps the story engaging throughout. Hidden Truths tackles some deep questions about family, love, and loyalty and is great for middle grade readers. I will definitely be recommending to my 7th grade students!

Secrets and Finding the Truth

Ellie Mae is just trying to clear her mother's good name and find out how she died, but little did she know the truth would be stranger than fiction. Ellie sets out to find out what really happened to her mother only to discover so much more. I really enjoyed this well written story because it was heartbreaking as well as heartwarming. I don't want to give anything away, but a folklore is not always made up. The characters are believable and strong, especially Ellie, who stops at nothing to get to the truth.
There are so many things I want to say about the twists and turns you won't see coming, but I don't want to give anything away. I will say this you will not be disappointed because this story not only shows heartache but man's humanity for other beings. I highly recommend this book if you love adventure, budding romances, secrets, and finding the truth.
