Publisher's summary

Sam is asked to locate a missing woman, but the case is strange. His client is a 14-year-old girl who insists her mother was abducted, even though her father and the police believe she's merely run off with another man. Sam agrees to check it out, and quickly learns that there is someone who doesn't want the truth to come out.

When a second attempt is made to throw Sam off the case, he digs in deep and discovers that the missing mom knows something that others want kept secret - but might just be the only thing keeping her alive!

Gotta Love Sam Pritchard!

What does Mikael Naramore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Since I've never read but only listened to all of the Sam Pritchard books Michael Naramore has become his voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Since it is quite short did listen to it in one afternoon.

Any additional comments?

This is a very good addition to the Sam Pritchard series. This book involves police corruption, cover ups, murders and kid napping. When Sam's former girlfriend is kidnapped and her husband and the police say she has run off with a man, her young daughter goes to Sam to ask for help. When Sam find a horrible crime committed by his former police partner (and others in the department) he confronts him and almost pays with his life. It's a race against the clock (and for his life) to get these corrupt officers off the street and save his friend.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
