Publisher's summary

Submitting to him is easy... Shaking off her past is not.

Kayla Temple is leery about returning to a BDSM lifestyle. Finally free from four horrific years with a man she wishes she could forget, she wants to experience the release of submission again, but can she trust any Dom enough to let herself go?

Gage Holland has been watching Kayla for two years. They work together, and she belongs to the same club as him. But she wears a tough shield, and Gage has a full life that leaves him with very little free time.

After engaging in a flogging scene together that goes horribly wrong, Gage is more intrigued than ever. What makes Kayla so skittish? The small taste he's had of her is not enough. Hiding his own vulnerabilities, he pushes Kayla to open up about her past while submitting to him in ways that won't trigger another bad response to her mysterious past.

Narrator

The narrator has ruined the whole story. Almost stopped listening. Sounds like a teenager not a man.

Great story... But the narrator

This is a very good story. But it was so hard to finish it... Gage voice the narrayor came up with was attocious!! Really annoying... This first time Gage spoke I thought WTF... Literally... I even took off my headphones... Just horrible and hard to get over the nasaly voice... I will NOT be listening to any of the fight club series since they have the same narrator as this one. The books should be done over by a diff narrator cuz im sure she is hurting the author's sales. PLEASE make sure you sample before buying... Im doing that from here on out... I learned today...

This book surprised me!

This book grew on me... A lil slow to start but got really good and you understood the characters. I caught myself yelling at the radio a few times haha. I LOVE Thor and Gage. Can't wait to read more of the series.

Story is fine to read. Narration is painfully horrendous

I wish I could get my money back from Audible because the narrator was terrible. I ended up reading the book because I couldn’t stand to listen to her interpretation for the male voices. High pitched, squeaky, and nasally. Why would anyone think the voice she used was ok? Annie Chapman. I’ll remember that name and not in a positive way.

I will avoid this narrator in future

The story is good, but the narrator chose an irritating, nasal, high pitched voice for the Male lead that was unpleasant to listen to. For a subsidiary Male character, she chose a much more pleasant voice - wish she had flipped them! But even that one wasn't all that good. I don't think this narrator has a very good voice for this sort of work, and I will avoid buying any more read by her.
