I came to the Rockies for a story.
Wilderness survival, winter solitude, maybe a photo of the elusive mountain hermit the locals whisper about.
Instead, I got caught in a snowstorm, fell down an embankment, and ended up rescued by a man who looks like danger, heat, and heartbreak wrapped in flannel.
