Publisher's Summary

She never meant to sell her soul...least of all to Lucifer.

The devil has taken her sister. Now she's going to bring her back.

Luckily, she's not alone:

An angel with a dark past.

A wolf with anger issues.

A hellhound who's actually quite cuddly.

Yes, this is a journey into hell. Grab your tissues and snacks, for this will be a roller coaster into darkness.

A reverse harem based on Dante's Inferno, but with a kickass heroine instead of a lovesick old poet.

Exciting slow burn

I was hooked from the beginning. It was an exciting read. I love both of these authors so I was excited for them to write together, I was not disappointed. The world and characters they created are fantastic, I can't wait for the next book.

I love how Hiral Varsani brought these characters to life. She delivered their emotions fantastically.

How far would you go to save your sister?

Demons, angels and rings of Hell! A great spin on Dante’s Inferno which was one of my favorite books, Hell’s Calling is an incredible journey of how far Ciera will go to save her sister. Along the way she picks up 3 amazing men to help her, Mario, Ceb and Plutus. I was sucked in from the very beginning listening to the entire book in one afternoon. Now I Can’t wait listen to the next book to see how this foursome develops and what will happen next.
Hiral Varsani is a new narrator to me. I thought she was fantastic! She portrayed Ciera perfectly do mg an excellent job of bringing her kickass nature to life. I will also be looking for more of her work

Fantastic Story!

This is the first book in the Infernal Descent Series, a retelling of Dante's Inferno. This story is a gem. You have to listen to it. The storyline is intriguing, suspenseful, captivating. Ciera, Maro, Ceb, and Plutus's story is wonderful. Their quest is breathtaken. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and now I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Hell's Weeping, and after that, Hell's Burning. Hiral Varsani has a so beautiful voice! She has also a great pace and she has done a great interpretation. All voices are easy to distinguish. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Great story

Great story that takes a classic tale and gives it a new twist. The main character seems II have everything stacked against her, but refuses to give up and is determined to save her sister no matter what.

Unique and Intriguing!

Hells Calling is the first in the Infernal Decent series by these two great authors. It’s a slow burn paranormal romance that follows Ciera down to hell on a journey to retrieve her sisters soul. She garners help from the most unlikeliest of people and reluctantly forms bonds with them as they travel the different circles of Hell. I really like Maro, Ceb and Plutus they are your typical bad boy characters, as this is a slow burn we don’t get to see much intimacy but it’s the story behind the men that leaves you wanting more. Ciera is courageous to want to find her sister but she is extremely naive and it’s this trait that has got everyone in this situation in the first place. She’s a bit of a whiner and puts on a facade to detract from her real feelings for the situation she’s in. I’d like to see how see grows during this journey.
I’m not sure how I feel about our narrator though given Cieras situation and background I would have thought Ciera would have had a rougher accent but she sounds quite snobbish for what I had in mind. Otherwise all in all great start to the series can’t wait for the next one.

Unique twist on Dante's Inferno

Pluses, Ceb, and Maro are the fantastic beginning to this slow building reverse harem. While the story has not yet been told, they have unique characteristics that make them their own.

Ciera the heroine of the story will do anything to save what matters most to her. She is an incredibly strong character and I can not wait to read the next installment.

This is a unique twist of the Dante's Inferno.

The narration is animated and dynamic. The characters each have a distinctive voice, each clear and understandable.

I love this book!

Great narration and a good way to catch up before book 2 releases. I can't wait to see what happens as Ciera continues her journey through Hell. Normally I don't listen to audio books and this is the first one I truly listened to. I will be getting more in the future thats for sure. I felt like I was on the journey with Ciera, it was thoroughly entertaining. I can't wait for Hells Weeping!

A fun and unique PNR.

This was a fun and unique short story. I struggled a bit with the narrator but once I reduced the speed to 90% I was able to enjoy it better. Since this book ended on a cliffhanger I'm eager to see what happens in book 2!

Some Confusion but Good Overall

I like the book but don't quite understand what's happening. There doesn't seem to be a real understanding of how/why she signed away her soul to the devil, and why he took her sister instead, and why these three are guiding and protecting her. I am assuming there is something special about her but the book doesn't really lead you to that or give any type of answers to those questions. It's just the way it is and lays out the story from there. So besides that confusion, I really like their challenges, how they handle each other and each hell level they encounter. It's very fast paced and a lot going on. Got some slow burn going on as well. Overall, I am enjoying the book and given the cliffhanger I definitely want to continue to book 2!

Finding her sister...

Keira sold her soul to the devil and he collected on her little sister. Now she has to go to hell... literally to save her sister but on every level of hell she gets help from the keepers. She will find out soon that she needs them. I will have to wait for the next installment to know what happens to Keira on her quest.

Captivating narration

I loved the narration by Hiral Varsani. She filled the story with so much life and I really enjoyed listening.

The story itself was great, but I wished it would have felt less rushed. There is no introduction how the human world works in which people can make a deal with the devil and we leave the first circles of hell behind very quickly as well. But that's all the critique I have. I was definitely captivated and will continue with this series!

Ciera’s Deal with the Devil! Great Story & Listen🎧

This is an imaginative, well written, well told story with interesting characters and storylines. The authors, Bea Paige and Skye McKinnon are creative and do a wonderful job paralleling Dante’s Inferno and making it their own. The female lead, Ciera, made a deal with the devil and in payment the Devil took off with her little sister, Tris. Ciera sets out to save her sister. Her journey through hell is an adventure, she is led thru the circles of hell with the help of Maro, an Angel. She meets some interesting characters as she travels down further. She only makes thru the 5th circle but her journey continues in Hell’s Weeping.

I listen to the audio version, Hiral Vasani does a wonderful job narrating the story and bringing the characters to life. She performed the voices of all the different characters, switching back & forth effortlessly keeping the story in a perfect flow Thank you for the great listen.
