I was hoping for more of Caleb and Josh in this book but I still enjoyed this book very much. This is absolutely a stand alone so if you haven't read book 1, you should because it was amazing but you don't have to to understand this one.

I love that all of the MM books I've read by Sarina Bowen have characters that have known each other forever, that always helps me fall in love quickly with the love story. These two have some serious obstacles to work around to be together but they handle it beautifully. I love that this book had zero self created drama and that ending had me swooning!!! Great book!!

The narration was great, I'm a huge fan of Teddy Hamilton so I knew I'd love the narration but the were both great.

Another Great Piece by Sarina Bowen

This M/M Romance is just what everyone wants. It’s not overdrawn, pretty spicy, and still has a few twists and turns.

Make sure to keep your headphones on anytime these two love birds are alone.

I loved this book. (And huge bonus...I had no idea how Josh and Caleb were going to tie into this story...OMG, they are Axel's landlords and friends...he lives in their additional apartment, so we got to see a fair amount of them in this story...YAY!)

Cax and Axel shared a single kiss in church camp before they were caught and sent home. For Axel's mom, she just laughed off his indiscretion. But Cax's parents had a very different reaction...they were horrified and moved away. Since then the guys have never been in touch. Cax is still in his hometown though because he tries to act as a buffer between his three younger brother's and their abusive father. As a result, if he wants to stay in their lives, he has to stay in the closet.

Axel is the new PR guy for the college sports department. That was one of the things that the two guys bonded over...basketball and where they find one another again. At first, Axel is very respectful of Cax's need to not go there, but as they get closer the temptation grows. And you can see where this is going.

Yes, things get very nasty very quickly, but it made for a scintillating, completely engaging read. There's a surprising amount of action in what isn't a very long book and it made the pages/minutes read fly by.

I loved this story...as well as the first one in the series. Both books can easily be read as stand-alones, but both books are great so you'll want to grab them both.

Cax and Axel's Second Chance at Love

Six years ago, Axel and Cax were separated after being found kissing at church camp. Now working at the same college, they find their feelings for each other are still there. Can they build on their ill-fated teenage experience to find forever love?

Sarina Bowen delivers another well-written emotional love story in the ‘Hello Goodbye’ series. As with the first book, this feels a little like a coming-of-age story. Cax has a lot of repressed feelings that need overcoming before he lets Axel love him and returns love to Axel. Along the way, they will encounter obstacles and danger, but also sweetness and sexy times leading to a wonderful happily-ever-after.

I really enjoy Teddy Hamilton’s performance with Axel’s POV. Dake Bliss does OK reading Cax’s POV. Bliss’ performance here is better than in ‘Goodbye Paradise’, in my opinion.

Highly recommended.
