Helena Samaha - Her Path To The Top

In this episode, Helena Samaha joins us to talk about her story on finding success in a male dominated profession and being named CEO and the first female President of Lex Mundi, the largest law firm network in the world. Having taken on the new role right before Covid-19 caused the world to come to a screeching halt, she faced her fair share of challenges, just as so many other businesses and firms had at the time. She talks about how she steered the Lex Mundi ship and navigated thru the traverse waters of Covid-19. She also reflects on the importance of helping other women create their own paths to success by mentoring and advocating for and creating opportunities and leadership roles for female lawyers.

Helena is an experienced international practitioner, dual qualified in France and England, with over 25 years of experience in London, Paris, and Dubai. She has a diverse background, having spent significant time both in corporate legal roles and in private practice. During her career in-house, she has held General Counsel or senior in-house legal positions at Virgin Management, AlixPartners, OSN, and Liberty Global. Her private practice experience has included serving as a partner at DLA Piper and as a solicitor at Clifford Chance.
