suspenseful romance

I admired Hollie for all she had been through, and I empathized with her too. Parts of the abuses were hard to listen to. Hollie showed great strength of character and fortitude. I wss glad that evil hot its karma. Loads of suspenseful action and drama. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Exciting

This is a cute Cinderella story. Hollie needs a prince to save her from her three cold hearted stepbrothers. John don’t think a cop marriage we’ll ever work but after he safes Hollie his feelings start to change. It was a great and interesting story. I enjoyed the Characters and storyline. The narration was great.

Just another day in Prescott!

The town of Prescott never lets me down for a fantastic story! Hollie is the town kindergarten teacher and when helped up by police Lieutenant John McBride, she thinks she may have just found the man she was looking for. Living with her evil step brothers has left her emotionally drained, but this man may be the one to fill her heart back up again. John never wanted to get married. Happy with his friends with benefits relationships, he didn't want to take the chance of having failure. Until he helped Hollie up. Their connection instant, but Hollie comes with baggage. Baggage that puts her in danger and unseen circumstances that only John can help her with. But will he be able to protect her from the danger? It's action packed, abusive and terrifying but is also full of love. Hollie is an incredibly strong woman. Living through her horrible home life and fear of abuse and robbery is just the tip of the iceberg. Most would crumble, but she has guts. John is a man who knows what he wants, and will do what he has to get her. And once again, the McBrides in Prescott have won my heart.

Narrated by the talents of David Quimby, we are treated to a wonderful performance. He knows his characters well and easily gives us all the feelings we need to get through each scene. It was a pleasure to listen to.

This is a modern Arizona romance fiction, that developed a little too

quickly. Hollie is a virgin, kindergarten teacher has been abused by her

step brothers for years. John is a lawman from a family of lawmen and

women; with plenty of experience. The two become involved and the many

twists and turns begin. The listener will hear about murder, attempted

kidnapping, a former friend with benefits partner, a sleazy friend of her

step brothers; where will it all end?



The narration was well done. The characters were well

portrayed. Narration by David Quimby, from male protagonist POV.

A romance and mystery story

This is the first book by Cheyenne McCray I have read. This book stands alone. It was a good story with a happy ending. The murder is solved and all is well.

Narration was excellent. David Quimby does a great job.
I would listen to books by this author and narrated by this narrator again.

High drama in small town Prescott!

First of all, I love this series! Life in small town Prescott is never boring! Unfortunately, for kindergarten teacher, Hollie Simmons, her life with her 3 wicked step brothers is anything but boring. She tries to keep a low profile to avoid garnering attention from the lowlife that hangs out with her brothers. Hollie also avoids relationships but suddenly one with police lieutenant John McBride seems possible. That is until Hollie is charged with the murder of one of her step brothers! John McBride doesn’t do relationships until her meets the quiet Hollie and knows that she’s THE ONE. Now it’s up to John and his brothers to find the real killer and save Hollie. Lots if action and some steamy moments keep this story exciting. Another great performance by David Quimby!
