Story
Jasper Bond turns (female) heads wherever he goes. He can’t dance, isn’t known for his restraint, and his blood heats whenever he’s near his latest employer, the unwittingly sexy Eliza Martin. She insists no one will believe an intellectual like her could be seduced by a man of action like Jasper, but the combination of his desire and her mystery makes the case one he can’t resist. Client satisfaction is a point of pride and it’s his pleasure to prove he’s just the man she needs after all....

Story
Never mix business with pleasure. Never bring politics into the bedroom. In a way I did both when I took Jackson Rutledge as a lover. I can't say I wasn't warned. Two years later, he was back. Walking into a deal I'd worked hard to close. Under the tutelage of Lei Yeung, one of the sharpest businesswomen in New York, I had picked up a thing or two since Jax walked away. I wasn't the girl he once knew, but he hadn't changed. Unlike the last time we'd drifted into each other's lives, I knew exactly what I was dealing with...and how addictive his touch could be.

Story
A sizzling encounter that turned into a scorching biweekly affair. How he’d ended up in bed with a woman like Robin was still a mystery to Paul. One minute they were riding the same elevator and the next he was riding her, the attraction so fierce and immediate he couldn’t remember how they reached his room or even shed their clothes. But when Robin suggested they take their relationship to the next level, Paul panicked, prompting her to walk out on him with her head held high and his heart in her hands.

He's cold, hard, and undeniably arrogant. That's how Andrew Blake's best friends describe him. Bad luck for me that I'm his new assistant. Nothing I do is good enough. I'm beginning to wonder if there's a heart in that tall, hard, gorgeous body of his. After work, I'm complaining about him to my new best friend - the bartender at the pub, near the office. Guess who's seated behind me, and has heard every gripe, grumble and grievance? By the look in Andrew's eye, I can't tell if I'm going to get fired or kissed.

There are three words most men can’t resist - I dare you. So as you can see, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I had no choice when my buddies said, “I bet you can’t get that brunette beauty to kiss you before the night ends.” I proved them wrong, and oh how good it felt to be right when I swept the quick-tongued woman into my arms and kissed the breath out of her at the party. But, I made a slight miscalculation. Turns out she’s my brand new enemy.

No matter what, keep contact with my cheating ex-wife to a minimum, and turn Maxwell Wineries into a legacy that keeps Paisley set for life. So, this is basically a soap opera
- By Lee Crowe on 02-05-18
Publisher's Summary
He is a vision from every woman's erotic fantasies. Existing in the twilight beneath sleep and consciousness, Connor brings them decadent pleasures, fueled by their sexual energy. But violence and strife now tear apart both worlds, and Connor must embark upon a quest into the mortal realm...and into the arms of one intoxicating enchantress.
Stacey Daniels has always been attracted to the wrong type of men - and the muscular, Viking-like champion on her front doorstep is no exception. She can hardly believe the wounded warrior is from another world, a world where erotic dreams are needed to survive, a world of terrible danger that has followed him to her home. Connor finds solace in her passion, but only time will tell if he can defeat the dark foe who hunts them...and if Stacey can surrender to the promise he offers with every electrifying touch.

It was intense. I couldn't put it down.
What did you love best about Heat of the Night?
The characters, the men were very strong but loving
What did you like best about this story?
The way the Conner decided what he wanted and just went for it. There was no thinking about what will happen next, who will like it, just this is what he wanted and that was it.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Conner first made his move on Stacey, I liked the way he eased her into what they both really wanted.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
The great love between the dream guardian and the woman he chose as his mate.
Any additional comments?
I would read this book again and I look forward to book 3 and hopefully many more in this series. I loved the narrator, she made the books come alive. I would definitely read almost any book she was narrating.

Officially addicted!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would recommend this audiobook because this is an amazing story that captures your heart and leaves you pining for more.
What other book might you compare Heat of the Night to and why?
I don't have another book to compare this too.
Have you listened to any of Shana Savage’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I heard Shana Savage's performance on book 1 of Dream Guardians and she is amazing in both. I admire and appreciate the clear difference in each of the character's voice and persona.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I particularly love the part where Stacey has just found out the truth about Connor and Aidan being from another planet. She is in complete disbelief and Connor is at his wit's ends trying to figure out how to prove himself to Stacey. Not only does he want to prove that he really is an alien, but he wants to prove to her and to himself i think, that he loves her and she will love him back if she just lets him. This beautiful man who thought life was so black and white now finds himself in an emotional place he never thought he would be in. I loved seeing Connor embracing these changes in his funny Connor way. I've never been so emotionally committed to a book. I NEED BOOK 3.
Any additional comments?
Don't think this is just another erotic novel. The story is AWESOME! Yes, you'll get some delicious erotic and romantic scenes, but the story is more about love, and the selfless acts we take for the love we have for our friends and family is beyond anything I could have asked for. I do have to admit that while I am not typically a Sci-Fi fan, I absolutely loved the Sci-Fi foundation of this story, and it was easy enough for me to follow. I LOVED THIS BOOK.

Any additional comments?
This is the second book in the series and just like the first, it ends in an odd place. Yes that type of ending is successful in making me purchase the next book, but it is annoying. I enjoyed the story line and can't wait for book three to be released.

Great Story, Awful Performance
What disappointed you about Heat of the Night?
I listened to the first book all the way through even though the voice acting was bad because the story was good but I can't make it through the second one. Savage has a wonderful voice, but her accent work here just ruined it for me. I'll have to buy the book and just read it. What a shame. I wish that the author would listen to this and have it redone because the Scot accent portrayed by Savage here is just embarrassing.
Would you be willing to try another book from Sylvia Day? Why or why not?
Maybe. She is a great writer.
How could the performance have been better?
A voice actor who can do the accent

No need to listen if one listened to the first nov
First, I will always compare everything by DAY to the CROSSFIRE Series. These 'of the night' novels do not compare.
The topic of - dream travel to/from random planes of existence - is ok - could have been much better written. Disappointment in DAY.
The production, specifically the narrator, is beneath sub par. It is a painful listen. All voices sound the same and what kind of accent is it that which is in constant flux?
Interesting, as well, is the cost. Both novels of the series cost a CREDIT or purchase of $20.+ USD when, IMHO, much better novels are available. Narration/production, as noted - sub par...below subpar.
Does DAY have ANY approval her narrated books?
I try not to use a CREDIT, nor do I buy any item for anything less than the monthly Audible fee. Losing money is not my idea of budgeting well.
Look further.

Not enough and too long to wait....
I really love the story line to this paranormal type novel. I am kicking myself now though because I read book one and book two and book two was written in 2008 and it's not 2019 and there is NO BOOK 3...
Sure there is a union at the end and it's well written, but with book one and two there are too many loose ends - Nothing comes together, and 11+ years later there is no book 3 final trilogy .....
As much as I liked the creative side of this story line in both books, if I had known there wasn't a final book I wouldn't have started it.

Sylvia Day does it again😀
Love her books and have read about 80%of all the books she has written. The reason for 4* is that I felt that the story had not properly finished.I'm really hoping that there are other books in this series that may offer a better ending. I still enjoyed it and will, probably always buy her books.😀
