Publisher's Summary

Zora James knows the pain of loss, the lick of flames, the passion of purpose. But she's never known the heat of love. Yet when she meets Alastar, the sexy Ranger with a hero complex, Zora knows her life will never be the same. Alastar Adams knows the sting of rejection. But he's never known the healing heat of love, the power of unexpected happiness. Yet when he meets Zora, the elegant law student with the soul of an angel, Alastar knows his life will never be the same. For Zora and Alastar, however, the hunt for love proves to be a creature of mists and shadows. For Alastar Adams is no mere man. In a world where fear often trumps trust, his secret just might tear them apart. Or perhaps it will be Zora's divine fate that will doom them to hopelessness. Whoever said love at first sight means forever? Certainly not the demon assassin sent to destroy one by murdering the other. Note: This book contains adult language used as profanity.

Really Enjoyable

If you could sum up Heat, Hunt, Hope in three words, what would they be?

Different, Moving and Exciting

What was one of the most memorable moments of Heat, Hunt, Hope?

When Alistair and Zora were reunited

Which scene was your favorite?

When all the battles are over and Alistair and Zora can mate for eternity

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Angels and Demons

Any additional comments?

I read this book as a stand alone not having read book one in the series and because of this I had no idea what Alistair was but it did not spoil my enjoyment of the story. I thought it was fast paced and very well written. The narrator brought so much to the story it was in my opinion a very enjoyable book. I have to admit to shedding the odd tear or two. I really loved the ending.

Interesting Story

Would you listen to Heat, Hunt, Hope again? Why?

I'm not sure. I liked the story but wasn't crazy about the narrator.

What other book might you compare Heat, Hunt, Hope to and why?

I've never read one quite like this.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I didn't care for the performance. He's a bit overdramatic and not good at all with female voices. I would've preferred he just read the story than do that badly with the female voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to but didn't have the time to do that.

Any additional comments?

It's a good story with an interesting take on angels and demons.

Loved this unique story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I really enjoyed this story! I was especially intrigued by the unique interpretation of the lives of angels and demons, and their translation into real world heroes and villains. Overlaying it all is a beautiful love story, with lots of heat and devotion. I highly recommend this audio book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Heat, Hunt, Hope?

Most memorable for me was where the angel gave Alastar his choice of human, rebirth, or angel service...where she gave him hope.

Have you listened to any of Ryan Vincent Anderson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first experience with this narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have liked to, but I didn't have that much time at one sitting, so I listened a chapter at a time.

Good story, okay performance

What made the experience of listening to Heat, Hunt, Hope the most enjoyable?

The story is great. The voice was pleasant to listen to, and didn't take away from the excitement or suspense of the story at all.

What did you like best about this story?

The story is exciting and changes directions multiple times, which keeps it interesting.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator does not express female voices well. He uses an ugly falsetto that detracts from the story telling.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes but I don't want to give away any spoilers.
There was a point where someone had to make a decision; and even though I knew it was coming, it still warmed my heart.

Any additional comments?

Great story. In all fairness, I got the recording for free with a promise to write an honest review. I never read book 1, but I think I'm going to look for it now.

Ryan's voice brings the power needed for this 1

Alastar & Zora had a love that was pre-destined. Zora survived much in her relatively short life. She loved her mother above all and that was taken away from her. She was estranged from her father, by choice. Alastar worked hard to change the view his mother had of him. There was more to him than his father. Alastar and Zora loved. The heat was the discovery. The hunt was more intense and powerful. The hope was that to which could change the world.

Ryan Vincent Anderson did a good joy yet again with bring the power to such a story of love, loss, deception, destiny, determination, second chance, Angels, Demons, war. His cadence was strong when needed and more feminine when require. The raw power attained in some points were a tipping scale.

Heat hunt hope

I just couldn't get into this book. The voice over just about put me to sleep. As for the storyline I really couldn't tell you after 35 mins I quit listening. 😔
