Publisher's Summary

Elizabeth Lyons has one rule for herself: no distractions.

No distractions basically translates into no men, which definitely means hell no when it comes to Daniel Alexander.

After a chance meeting at a professional function, Daniel is not interested in letting Elizabeth go. No matter how much Elizabeth tries to stay away from him, Daniel's not the kind of guy who lets something he wants walk out of his life. The question is, will she let him catch her, or will her past fears ruin any chance of a future with him?

Great narration but..........

OK this book is somewhat ok and I love Daniel. He's so sweet and thoughtful. Honestly Elizabeth pissed me off she didn't deserved Daniel she was too immature and also too hard on herself. Lots of ppl balance a successful career and a relationship. I love Barbara for him more. I finished the book because of the narrators not because I enjoyed the story.

DNF

1/5 rating because I couldn't finish this book. The plot of a woman who agonizes over the "impossibility" of having both a career and a man, and the man who accuses the woman of being a man-hater... a bit too 1950s for me.

Cute story, excellent narration!

I enjoyed this story, excellently performed by 2 of my favorite narrators! This story represents how even a strong person with drive and determination can be scarred by harsh words, thereby changing their choices in the future and choosing to protect themselves by erecting walls around their heart rather than taking risks. My only complaint is that this story is short.

💗This Story Is NOT Heartless!💗

Heartless by J. Sterling is a story with a lot of heart!

Elizabeth Lyons is a driven film executive who only has one focus. Instead of making time for a relationship, she nurtures her career. Then she meets Daniel Alexander, an equally driven and focused entrepreneur. She is not ready for his persistence, but he quickly wears down her defenses.

Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon bring life to Daniel & Elizabeth! Good job! They never disappoint. 👏🏻👏🏻

Give this story a try. I think you’ll like it, too.

wish it was longer

I really wanted to go 5 stars all the way crossed because this was a cute fun listen however it really could have been longer everything happens in an overnight.
along with when they have drama she could have expanded on that she could have had Elizabeth's ex pursue a lot more, in Daniels Acts they pushed her to the crazy point but as soon as he showed up she was better it should have been more dramatic... another couple of hours and this book would have been phenomenal period. so instead it's just really good

J Sterling again truly knows how to make you fall in love with her store and makes you feel so deeply for the people in the book. You can’t help but laugh when they do and cry when they do it’s amazing how simple words can change your life

Great Story

I thought this book was great. I couldn't stop listening to it. I also like the jokes & banter the characters had. There were times when I couldn't help but smile & laugh. Must listen!! I really enjoyed it. The narrator's were great too. It makes the story come alive more.

Cute short story

I finished this one in one sitting. I wanted more and was sad when it was finished. Everyone I’m sure would love to have a David. I loved how they met and how he won her over.

Ben her Ex was a total DB and I couldn’t stand him or his sister. That family was crazy!

Good listen

With some laughable moments and moments that made you laugh out loud, I really enjoyed Daniel and I really wanted to slap Ben. And the narration was great! Erin and Jason are an amazing team.
