Publisher's Summary

Cursed with immortality, Dermot MacKay craves death. To lift the faerie curse placed upon him and his men over 1,600 years ago, he must return the soul of his reincarnated wife to the exact place and time of her murder. But her soul is currently residing in the very modern Sidney St. George - and first he has to convince her to accompany him to Scotland.

Sidney doesn't believe Dermot's wild claims of immortality and rebirth, yet she cannot deny that she is drawn to the sexy Scot. Nor can she explain the sense of deja vu his touch elicits. Desperate for answers, she agrees to go with him, only to learn too late that to help the man she loves is to lose him forever….

Feel good story - highly recommend!

This book is a light "listen" but good entertainment. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to read something that's not heavy or make you feel down trodden.

The narrator does an amazing job with her Scottish accent (at least to these American ears) and in bringing the characters to life in your mind's eye. I found myself being able to picture the entire story clearly in my mind as I listened. I certainly would listen to anything she has read.

Excellent Book,I was hooked from the start

What does Chloe Campbell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Very impressed with the Audio version, Chloe Campbell really brought the characters to life.

Did Not Finish

Trite and overwrought, one dimensional characters, lazy descriptions. I couldn't bring myself to keep listening to this because it felt like torture. I would suggest skipping it.

What's with the accents?

The narrator does a fine job with the Scottish accents, but reads the midwesterners with British accent. Huh? Overall, premise was okay, but the story was way too long and boring. Based on this book, I won't try this author again.

a very good story.

I have read this story, and now have the audible version. The performance, added depth to it and made more enjoyable, the accent gave it more character.

I loved this book..

Any additional comments?

I wish this had been a series it was so good. Loved Dermot and Sidney. Hated Aine. Great story of immortal Highlanders, and I do love Highlanders. I've never read this author before but I intend to see what else she has to offer. Lots of dialogue and some great sex. What more could you ask for?
The narrator did a spectacular job.

the story kept my interest

intriguing story about the immortal gods of old that live on another plain messing in the lives of fragile little humans. love wins out in the end, of course. The narrator was good. this was a nice little story that connected the past with the present. It was worth buying.

Story dragged along. Heroine always whining.

I'm tired of characters in books not trusting their hearts, fearing love, and treating their beloved with angst and snobbery.

If they would only listen!

The lead couple's inability to stop flouncing off in anger and finish important conversations was the most irritating thing in this book. I got this book after reading and loving the Loch Moigh series but I think the quality of that series is far superior. I did like how Longley ran Zoe and Sydney's love stories together though. Great way to fill in the background info
