Publisher's Summary

Morgan has been banned from hunting until she learns to control her powers and her impulsive nature. Her team is so focused on her training, she feels more alone and alienated than ever. She must make the heartbreaking decision to stay and fight for the men who mean everything to her or turn her back on the Academy to survive.

But the choice is taken from her when the Academy is viciously attacked and Morgan is abducted and dumped into the primordial realm. Abandoned and unable to get back to the Academy, Morgan must take a crash course in survival in this alien world.

As she investigates the deadly mist sweeping through the realm, she is horrified to discover her team has followed her, determined to earn back her trust. With their lives in danger, Morgan will do whatever it takes to save them, even if it means entering Tartarus and uncovering the secrets of the forgotten gods.

With the cure in hand, they must defeat monsters from myths and legends - and their worst nightmares - and escape the gates of hell or risk becoming forever trapped and forced to watch the destruction of their world.

Contains mature themes.

Heart of the Assassin

Morgan and her guys must figure out how to save the world without getting killed in the process. I really enjoyed this book and how Morgan has grown. She finally gets the nerve to tell the guys about her insecurities and things change between them all. I can't wait to find out more about her powers and what happens next

And the kitchen sink

Half of this book is our heroine's internal worrying, the same thing over and over. Then we get plenty of action, but it all seems pasted together from the usual - the giant spider, mosquito pixies, the insane mastermind, accidentally going over a waterfall, a medusa, a dragon - oh, yes and let's not forget to throw in some zombies! And then there's the worshipful attitude of her harem. It's all just too, too much. Our heroine is morphing and there's plenty more places for a story to go, but I doubt I'll go along for the ride.

Lost It's Luster

I liked the last book. I wanted to get to know the characters more. The characters sort of developed but just bits and pieces. It seemed like in every down moment she thought which ever guy around her was hot. There would be a steamy moment that wouldn't go any where and then the story would.move on. It felt like a book of tease. No real connections formed. The story wasn't really driven forward of developed enough in all aspects for me to continue the series.

Amazing second in series

Love this slow burn RH. I love the friendship of the group and how even when things get strained, hard or crazy they make up and carry on. This story is full of action, and more hints toward Morgans heritage. Downloading book 3 now.

So glad I stumbled upon this series

The characters are relatable, the bond and connections with each member of the harem build up in a way that is believable, and heroin of the series amazingly strong and smart and doesn’t need to be rescued....what more do you need? I love it.

You know what you're getting into

If you read the first book, you know what's coming: the action movies fast, and the relationships don't.

I stopped reading this because I was disgusted

I went through the first book with an open mind it was okay but I sort of got stuck on it being a little bit boring. I was like well maybe the second book will give more of the story and more build up. Oh boy it sucked I'm not going to be purchasing the third and I'm sorry I purchased this one.

Enjoyed... very much

I loved the characters and story line. It wasn't the same story as every other fantasy novel. Couldn't stop listening to it...I failed to respect the next morning on several occasions (stayed up way too late!)

Dont waste your money or Time. Sorry

where do i even begin. the first book was pretty decent. i actually enjoyed it so when i was ready for book 2 i did my research on whether the RH aspect would be a little more or a quick burn. fyi its not. So despite the plethora of reviews which sound almost like mine now i thought naw, ill give this book a chance. i should have listened to the reviews. The FMC is annoying. no other words to describe it. Absolutely every choice she makes gets her guys injured or captured etc. Yet somehow she is still their world. its almost like she literally has no forethought at all. i really despised her by the end of maybe chapter 12. it was aganising trying to push through the rest of the chapters. the story seemed disjointed, rushed. too many ideas at once. the only word i can describe it was chaotic. Maybe annoying as well.

I honestly hate to leave a bad review because i admire the first book. this book fell woefully short of the mark. I will probably buy any other books in the series but that's just my OCD, i cannot leave series unfinished.

*Heart Of The Assassins*

For some reason, this book is not as well put together as the first one, I had a hard time following the story, it's all over the place, it was scattered and didn't get the same height as the first book. Traci Odom is excellent as always.
