Balcus and a crew of veteran warriors must take on an impossible task that will lead them into the depths of the mountains, far below where no dwarves have ever gone. A terrifying evil awaits them in the deep darkness of the caverns far below. It is a creature that cannot be stopped by any weapon or magic that they possess.

Can they defeat this ancient evil in time to save their kingdom? Can they complete their mission and stop the traitors who seek to turn clan against clan and seize the throne of Myrannor? Balcus must use every weapon and resource in his arsenal with unblinking courage and a “Heart of Iron.”

this I a very good book I have read it 2 time and lisend it on here best fantasy book I have read i hold it as one of my favorite with many of the Dragon lance books
