Beautiful story… narration is unfortunate
I absolutely loved reading the trilogy, Women of Tenacity, by Shanna Hatfield. The stories are believable, beautiful, and have emotional life experiences woven into them. I read all three twice in just a couple of days, they were that intriguing!
After I read all three, I was excited to find this audio version. However, the reading delivery is, to be honest, unfortunate. I do not generally like female readers as they can be overly dramatic and often do not seem able to find a balance between character presentation and general reading of the story. Such is this reading. To even be able to keep listening, I had o slow down the play speed to 0.8, as the delivery was so fast it was almost unintelligible. I won’t be swayed to investigate other books read by this reader.
I have listened at least three times and I will keep it in my audible library.
