Publisher's summary

As a stunningly attractive man and the owner of a successful chain of auto repair garages, Trevor is used to attention, adoration, and getting what he wants. What he wants tends to be passionate, no-strings-attached flings with men he meets in clubs. He doesn't expect anything different when he sets his sights on James. Imagine his surprise when the charm that normally brings men to their knees fails to impress. Trevor will need to drop the routine and connect with James on a meaningful level. He starts by offering to take James home instead of James riding home with his intoxicated friend.

For James, losing his sight at a young age meant limited opportunities for social interaction. Spending most of his time working at a school for the blind has left him unfamiliar with Trevor's world, but James has fought hard for his independence, and he knows what he wants. Right now, that means stepping outside his comfort zone and into Trevor's heart.

Trevor is also open to exploring real love and commitment for a change, but before he can be the man James needs him to be, he'll have to deal with the pain of his past.

Love is blind.

If you could sum up Heart Unseen in three words, what would they be?

Endearing, Intense, poetic.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Heart Unseen?

Two actually, when Trevor took James to ride go carts and when he took him bowling.

What about Greg Tremblay’s performance did you like?

Every - damn - thing!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Heart Unseen.

Any additional comments?

Grey's superb writing merges flawlessly with Tremblay's voice and the finished product is no less than amazing. I really fell in love with these two guys all over again listening to their story. Descriptives and voices add a whole new level to story.

Tams eBook review...

When Trevor sees James across the crowded room at a local bar, sparks fly. The self professed mans man that will never settle down, will spend his life fucking around with any guy lucky enough to be given his attention, finds a guy that is immune to all his charms. It's a foreign concept for Trevor when the beautiful man rebuffs his attention.

James has been blind since he was a child, but he can still see people. Their intentions, personality and attitude don't require eyes to define. James is anything but interested in Trevor. From the start, Trevor has to work hard for James to pay attention. And for the first time in a very long time, Trevor enjoys getting to know another man, dating, courting and growing quite attached to the blind man that seems to have staked a claim on the serial dater, without even trying.

I really enjoy stories where the Author does their homework, where the disability of a character is explored and well explained but it also doesn't define them. Grey has an uncanny ability to create beautifully broken and flawed characters, give them depth and meaning and bring their stories full circle by the end. I loved the slow burn with these two characters. There was no rush, no insta-love, just a genuine interest and old fashioned to some extent version of courting. Trevor had to prove himself to James, prove he would stick around no matter how hard things became. James had to deal with his own demons of the past that were bleeding over into his uncertain future with Trevor.

If you are a reader that simply loves stories where the happy ever after has to be fought for, hopeless romantic type of books, then you'll certainly love this latest from the master of hard fought romances... Andrew Grey.

Good characters, low angst, and a sweet romance

When I begin an Andrew Grey book, I know it will be low on the angst and high on the sweetness. In that way Heart Unseen met my expectations. The depth of the characters exceeded my expectations though. I think this book will remain one of my favorites by this author because it never felt like the sappiness weighed down the characters. The characters and story still packed a punch that kept me engaged cover to cover.

Left blind from a childhood disease, James isn’t expecting to meet anyone when he agrees to go to a club one night with a friend. He especially doesn’t anticipate meeting hunky playboy Trevor, let alone being pursued by him. What followed was a really sweet love story about getting over past hurts and losses and choosing to move forward together in a new relationship. While there was definitely a touch of insta-love in Heart Unseen, I didn’t ever feel the romance was unnecessarily rushed. I enjoyed getting to know both characters and liked that despite the strong initial connection, the relationship progressed at a believable pace. There certainly were some toothache-inducing sweet moments in the latter half. However, I enjoyed the romance and characters so much that it didn’t turn me off.

The writing in Heart Unseen was smooth with a nice, easy pace. Using just the right amount of intonation and emotion in his voice, the narration by Mr. Tremblay fit the tone of the book very well and enhanced the story. If you’re looking for a low angst, sweet romance with charismatic characters, I definitely recommend this audiobook.

Lovey story, awesome narration

I really liked this book, especially the premise that one cannot rely on good looks alone to impress a potential partner.
I adored Greg Tremblay's narration! He has this way of wrapping the words around you as he narrates. When I listen to him I feel as though I should be somewhere cosy, around a fireplace with a good whiskey; not battling through traffic as I did for most of my listen.
The tone, pacing and and emotion of the story was superbly handled by Mr. Tremblay. Highly recommend this audiobook!

Really sweet hurt/comfort romance

This is the reason I love Andrew Grey stories! Here we have a blind man, a “broken” man and a simple, relatively angst free romance where one of them is almost a virgin!

James is really, really sweet and despite his initial appearance, so is Trevor. There are some rocky moments with James’ family, but for the most part this is just two guys learning about one another and trying to make things work.

I really enjoyed this and think anyone looking for a nice, comforting read – especially if you like hurt/comfort reads – will enjoy this.

Audio

Greg does another fantastic job with this. He gives Trevor just the right amount of “swagger” and James just the right amount of “sweet”. He handles the emotions, the female voices and the timing all with ease. Highly recommended as the best way to enjoy this sweet, lovely story!

☆James & Trevor Forever☆

This was one of the best books I've listened too. I truly enjoyed this story. I found myself wanting to become friends with them both, especially James. He was so kindhearted, strong, understanding, just adorable. I also loved the way he stood up for himself. I also liked Trevor and the way he treated James, like his equal instead of a person who needed to be coddled. But, what I didnt like and was angry with Trevor for, was, the fact he didnt speak up for James at the dinner party. He should have✔James Ex. That did tick me off. Now, for the narrator and narration. He did a fantastic job bringing all the characters to life. He did not miss a beat changing from one character to another. Excellent job. I HIGHLY recommend you listen to this Story. It will definitely pull at your heartstrings! I look forward to listening more from this author!👍👍👍👍👍🤗

great story

great story read by one of my favorite Narrators. Greg did an amazing job as always and puts so much emotion into his reading makes you feel the story. Of course to do that he needs great material to do so and I believe the author did a great job at that too.

Sweet, low angst

Any additional comments?

Andrew Grey excels at writing sweet, relatively low angst love stories. This is no different. Heart Unseen didn't deliver any surprises, and was a bit over the top and cheesy at times, but it's an easy read and an even better listen.

Greg Tremblay does such a great job bringing Trevor and James to life. His character voices, timing, and pacing are terrific and so easy to listen to. He made this seven plus hour audiobook fly by.

I wanted to wrap up James and Trevor in a big hug by the end of this story. I loved the dual POV and how Trevor turned completely around in attitude from a diehard commitment-phobe to being so romantic and completely all in with making James feel safe and loved.

My only complaint is I would've really liked some closure of the plot points regarding Alan or the business a lot more than I needed the follow up on Chase.

All in all this was an entertaining romance with terrific narration.
