Publisher's Summary

Journey back to the planet Celta with award-winning author Robin D. Owens in this novel about shadowed enemies and unimaginable psi power.

Muin "Vinni" T'Vine has been the prophet of Celta since he was six years old. A unique and lonely child, his strong psi power made most people wary of him. But now that he's older, he's ready to marry and protect the girl he's known was his HeartMate for years.

Avellana isn't as fragile as Vinni believes...nor as compliant. She fights to be considered Vinni's equal and a strong member of her family and community. Both of them have kept Avellana's main power secret for over a decade.

But rumors of her strange psi talent are spreading, and Vinni is experiencing premonitions of danger to Avellana - even from the highest people of the land. When the whispers become threats, Vinni and Avellana must discover and defeat their secret enemies before they can finally claim happiness together.

So long coming, but so good!

We’ve been waiting for Vinny and Avalina’s story since the second book, many years ago. Ms. Owens has not disappointed. Though they are heart mates, their road has never been easy. Now, because Vinny has been too sheltering, forcing his heart mate to stay away due to fear, their bond is strained. Vinny must learn to treat his lady as the fully grown, strong woman that she has become...or risk losing her forever.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost twenty years ago that Zanth—with his six “Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!”—burst onto the scene and upstaged a larger than life T’Ash and Danith, the new and only Fam healer. Through the years we have laughed and cried along with characters that have become welcome friends and secretly wished we could be reborn on the planet Celta (with great Flair, of course!) that Robin Owens pens so realistically. Barring that, we can only hope Ms. Owens has more Celta stories in mind. And that she will share them with us in the near future. This reader would love to see more of the Celta goddess who has secretly created an island Ark for the beings she wishes to save. Only the best of the best. Hhmm...

This is why I love Robin D. Owens!

This is the first audible book I have listened to by Robin D. Owens. I have read all of the previous books in this series and love them but I REALLY enjoyed listening to this one. The performance was excellent and it was almost as if I was watching the action play out. I think I will get the whole series on audible! I know I will get the next one for sure!

I could not continue to listen

I could not continue to listen to the mechanical narration after only a few minutes. I have read this series from the author's 1st installment and have enjoyed the series immensely. This is the 1st audiobook I've purchased of her books & I regret not listening to the sample. Unfortunately, Audible's rating system forces me to rate every thing, even though I was not able to get through the story. So, the rest of the rating is false, it's based on her previous books.

Dull

I have really enjoyed the past books in this series and have tolerated a less than outstanding narrator to hear a really good story. In this case, the dullness of the narration has made it difficult for me to get past the first hour of the book. Since we have missed most of the growing up years of T'Vine, I don't think I expected him to turn into the arrogant and controlling character that he is presented as in the first hour. It simply doesn't match the young concerned man of the previous books.

Perhaps this all is resolved later, but I wasn't able to wade through the boring narration. I have the book on hold through my library, perhaps that will go better....
