Well, its probably not a big secret that too much sugar is not a good thing. But I had no idea just how bad it really is. The author goes into all the adverse effects of sugar and the reasons for getting off it. The book is full of tips for getting off sugar—including foods to avoid, foods to get, and “detoxing” the kitchen. There are also ideas on getting through the “withdrawals,” so to speak. Especially helpful is the meal plan at the end of the book. The books format makes it easy to read. And the material is helpful too. Recomended.

great book changed my life

Covers various topics regarding sugar. Book focuses on the need for the body to rebalance itself thus the need for detoxing. Provides general info regarding types of sugar but also delves into other issues that relate to the consumption of sugars that affect our health - blood sugar balancers, exercise, supplements, sleep, and a bunch of other topics. The detox lasts 14 days. Not easy during the first couple days. That’s where I’m at now. Book advises to keep a journal. Good idea to track your progress. Easy to understand steps. Recommended book.
