    This book is astounding for putting your running arrangement and aggregated learning from wherever into perspective.Still this book gives me comfort that an exceptionally bustling way of life doesn't mean you've to be any less aggressive

    "Great coverage of why and how"

    My favorite of the Jason Smith books I've read so far. He explains in detail, backing up with studies and explanation, why an endurance runner should follow the 80/20 rule. And he lays out the steps to do it very clearly, including sample plans. There is enough information available that you never need to follow his advice ritualistically. You always know enough to understand why to do things and can customize plans to your specific needs. Unlike other Jason Smith books like How Bad do You Want It, this book was light on anecdotes and stayed focused on giving useful information to a runner.

    Within a couple of weeks of following the training schedule and the theory behind this book, all my running aches and pains went away. Running became enjoyable once again. After completing the intermediate training schedule for a half marathon I achieved a PR time by several minutes. This book has been great for me. workout plans are straight forward.

    I really found this book useful. I was looking for foods that might be available constantly or are at least used seasonally in the home and I found them. I grow beetroot and kale myself so to find them on the list and now to understand their benefits and when best to use them is great. The other half loves watercress so that is in the fridge all the year round. Some of the ingredients in the book might be more difficult to find in the UK but the vast majority are available worldwide now (thank you Jason Smith and the other celeb chefs - I knew you were good for something).

    When considering a lifestyle change I came across this book. I wanted some information to change my eating habits and show me how to have more energy when running. I enjoyed the breakdown of the many foods and their benefits in this book. It is a good reference for runners, before and after a workout.

    "Supercharge my husband"

    My husband is a dedicated triathlete and I am in charge of his non supplementary nutrition. This book gave me some great ideas on what I can alter to help him improve his performance. The good thing about this book is that it shows how you can improve performance through food and as a result of that could reduce the reliance on expensive supplements.

    "Helpful Guide bundle"

    After listening this book, instead of seeking a mood created by music in order to have a good run, I now create my own mood or head out looking to see what I can find by being in the moment. There is enough on meditation in this book to quit looking for external stimulus in order to create internal motivation. You can create your own motivation and enjoy running (or any endurance event) without outside assistance beyond what you can perceive from your surroundings, whether in the woods or the city. This book is full of moments when I stopped listening to underline something and nod to myself. Very good and excellent practical advice.

    "A unique prospective on running"

    Excellent book that applies tibetan buddhist meditation principles to running. It is very well explained and the lessons and principles Sakyong shares resonated with me. It is no wonder why he runs over 200 meditation centers across the globe. I truly enjoyed that the book wasn't self-indulgent while being an excellent perspective on one unique persons "running life." A cheap book that's more than worth the price

    I've been practicing meditation now for over a year using the techniques in this book and I can only say that they've worked for me. I can't imagine not practicing meditation now any more than I can imagine not running or not doing my core work. These things are essential to my life, and I'm very grateful I lucked into this book.
