Publisher's Summary

The Mediterranean diet is a food plan that is based on the cuisines and eating habits of countries such as Greece and Italy. In Mediterranean countries, people tend to be healthier and avoid disease for longer periods of their life. To mimic the healthy lifestyles that Mediterranean cultures have, many people around the world are switching to a Mediterranean inspired diet. In this book, we'll cover the many benefits of the Mediterranean diet and provide a detailed guide on how to eat like a true Mediterranean.

The Mediterranean diet has gained attention for being a very easy way to lose weight while still being very healthy. Instead of depriving yourself, like you would on many other popular diets, the Mediterranean diet encourages you to eat light and delicious foods that have tons of great nutrients in them, which give you energy throughout the day and are very easy for your body to process. Many Mediterranean foods are low on calories, but provide tons of proteins, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. This is ideal for keeping your body healthy, and can lead to weight loss when paired with a good exercise regime.

The Mediterranean diet is also very easy to follow and can even save you money. The diet focuses extensively on cooking at home instead of eating out, and uses a variety of ingredients that are affordable and accessible. In this book, we provide tons of tips and tricks to help you follow the Mediterranean diet with minimal effort, as well as recipes that are easy to make at home and taste delicious.

Inspiring book

“The Mediterranean Diet ” is a very useful guide for those looking to explore the world of Mediterranean cuisine. This book makes it very clear that one will probably not lose weight by just sticking to this diet, but will also take some regular exercise. This book does however, map out an easy to read and easy to follow four-week plan to help you stick to your diet goals.

helpful book

It is the very useful book. The recipes are written with much simplicity and the structure of the whole book is excellent. The grocery list tactic, learning how to read food labels, and the cooking definitions are all just bonus information to an already organized and well thought out dietary book.

The book explains that it is not just about changing one's diet but more about changing one's lifestyle so that an efficient diet plan may work symbiotically. Moreover, the book is filled with delicious Mediterranean meals that will surely never sacrifice any amount of taste. This is not a get thin quick book, however, if you are looking for a tasty and healthy meal plan that promotes long term healthy eating then this is your book.

great tips

I've been trying to cook healthier for my family because wasn't having any luck with meals that actually tasted good. I was given the opportunity to receive this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review so I jumped at it. I'm glad I did because this book has helped me create healthier but also tasty meals for my family. It has helped me to incorporate more fish and lean meats in our diet. It has also helped me with my grocery shopping because I can meal plan and buy only the foods I need for the meals, therefore, help me save on our grocery bill. Overall, it's a great book that is simple and easy to follow.

nice book

I got this book to help me start a healthier life style. So far I really like the meal plans. I wish it said portion sizes when they have some that have such large servings. This is not a budget friendly meal plan as well. If you're serious thought about getting your life & health in check it's worth it. I'm hoping once I get through the 4wks ill have a better idea still eating clean and able to budget the meals a little better.

Informative and interesting guide

This book is a planning guide, basically – it’s a practical approach to the how and why of the diet, but is not going to hold the attention of people (like me) who like the well-rounded, passionate narrative of lifestyles associated with healthy living. But that’s not for everyone, so the meal plans and guides are a perfect introduction.

Must listen to it.....

I have 100+ cookbooks and went to culinary school. I love this book. Simple Simple Simple. I sometimes modify with an ingredient or two based on what I have on hand, but I love the simplicity and great "back to the basics" message.
