Eye-opening insight about the brain-gut connection

Before learning about the brain-gut connection, I had absolutely no idea how important bacteria in your stomach were to your brain health. How the brain, and by extension, your nervous system, and overall mental and physical health, can be affected by the seemingly unrelated and distant digestive system is eye-opening. This audiobook is informative yet not hard to follow along with and understand. It reveals a lot including the warning signs of gut dysfunction, the worst foods you are probably eating, how to reverse the effects, and how to plan your daily gut-healthy meals. Highly recommended if you suffer from autoimmune conditions, and even if you feel you are at peak health!

STRONG AND POWERFUL

Healing the Gut Microbiome and the Brain is a very informative book. It clearly explains how our gut works, how what we eat affects our gut and our brain, and how our gut communicates with our brain. It is full of technical terms and scientific studies on mice, showing how different things can affect our gut biome.
Some of the book repeats the common sense approach of what we eat, that most of us know, but our modern lives make it far too easy for us to rely on junk food and mass produced foods that aren’t what our bodies were built to manage easily. The prevalence of auto-immune diseases such as arthritis and fibromyalgia, plus many more, can be partly down to the poor quality of our gut biome and its ability to process what we put in our bodies and the stresses of everyday life.
The best book I have read. Covers a lot we don't know and gives a lot of result oriented output. A must read for everyone. Highly recommended

Love it!

I'm very passionate about health and healthy foods so I'm very happy I came across this book. I didn't have that much information about the gut and how connected is to our brain and the great impact it has on our wellbeing. This audio was very insightful, a lot of valuable information, and loved the suggested meals/ snack recipes. The narration was great as well!

I have family members who have struggled significantly with gut issues and was recommended to read this book by a friend. It didn't disappoint.

This book gives a very detailed breakdown of the science and alsona clear and actionable plan on restoring your gut health.

It is narrated by a true professional and lovely to listen to.

What a great discovery!

This book is jam-packed with tons of rare and secret facts that no-one readily shares about gut health. I wasn't aware that the science behind poor gut health can be so ignored and has such a big impact on our overall health thus our lifespan. I was scared a bit in the first couple of chapters because this information is brand new to me. I am so grateful that the author got me covered with a proven step-by-step method to heal my gut naturally. I am very excited to follow the 30-day plan, which seems to be quite doable with so many meals and snack options described!

Great perspective on our Gut Microbiome !!

I enjoyed listening to James Morrison narrate Healing the Gut Microbiome and Toxic Brain. I had some knowledge of the Gut Microbiome but was great to get a better understanding of the immune system. It was very well put together.

Great tips

I’ve been dealing with leaky gut and autoimmune issues for about a year now. This book has helped me with my elimination diet to help get things on track. It’s also a quick and easy listen.

snack time

I work in a busy office and i'm typically just throwing stuff in my mouth all day -- no time to plan meals or cook. I live off a lot of fast food / chinese food. But There are some good tips for snacking and quick meals. I can only imagine what i've done to my own physiology through the years. recommended.

Great!

Your gut is related to your brain? Wait, what?! I never realized this, but apparently I can be doing a lot more things to heal my gut and therefore have a healthier state of mind. This book really opened my eyes and I recommend it to everyone. I started to implement some of the tips mentioned in the book and I'm already seeing some positive results!

Great narration too by the way.

I adored this book!

My dad was born with ankylosing spondylitis which is an auto immune disease. As a child I watched him become more and more ill because his back hurt and he had IBS. Through the power of this book and the whole 30 he is literally has almost no symptoms. I know this sounds insane but he read this book and also found a mentor called "Peter Winslow" who showed him how to almost cure his disease with the power of his mind. He paired that knowledge with the information from this book. I feel like I have a dad again! We can go on hikes, workout and laugh together! He's able to enjoy his life time passion of golf again after 20 years of not being able to play. He's been working out with a personal trainer and he even lifts more than me as a 26 year old man. Thank you for writing this book. My dad is so happy now.

it's a great book

very well put together for the layman, straightforward and easy to understand, they don't overwhelm you with science and a million different things to do. the system they suggest is easy to follow and practical. it's a great book for those wishing to detox and heal a damaged or unhealthy gut and way of life. may I also suggest adding bone broth which is supposed to be excellent for clearing candida and healing the gut

A True Gut Healing Solution.

This is truly a healing solution to Gut Health Deficiency and I enjoyed every minute and second of this audiobook. It was alot of information that I didn't know about and it was inspired, empowering but also informative as well. The topic and the research behind this audiobook was very accurate, precise and straight forward. This is definitely the audiobook to go to if you lack the inspiration or reason to loose wait or to just gain control over your health and your life.

I’m on day 11 and already feeling the results

Gut issues run in my family. I’m so thankful I found this gem because not only does it give me a simple understanding of what the roots are but most importantly gives me easy to follow steps to remedy my stomach issues. I’m on day 11 and am already feeling better and my bowel and bladder are a result of it. I’ve already recommended this amazing book to my mother and grandmother.

Excellent guide to a healthier life style

This audiobook has tons of information about the food we eat and the type of food we should be eating to enjoy a healthier and more fulfilling life. Even though I eat different foods in moderation I will be more aware of what I put in my food basket in the future.

Fascinating

If you are interested in learning about the vital role your gut bacteria play in your immune system and keeping you healthy then this book will be extremely interesting for you, I never knew how important a healthy gut was. the book takes you through the importance of having a healthy gut and goes beyond this giving you ways to address an unhealthy gut, recover and see the benefits of your new healthy gut. In the current climate, it will provide you with some interesting insight into how to stay healthy

A deep dive into gut health

I've been looking more into the link between gut health and brain health lately, and this book was exactly what I needed.

It's written for laymen, so you don't need any kind of advanced scientific knowledge to understand the concepts, and it was perfect for me as someone with very little science in their background. The book focuses on identifying the signs of poor gut health, and then laying out a step by step plan for reversing some of these ailments. There are recommended foods and meals as well, which is useful if you need a reference point. Great book!

Excellent Resource!!

I found this book very insightful, very detailed and thorough. This books dives deep into the topic of how gut issues relates to autoimmune diseases. This is a very fascinating topic today.
