Love the Peaceful Harbor Braden's

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would absolutely recommend this audiobook to a friend. First off, I love all of Melissa Foster's books. Her characters immediately grab you and pull you into their story. The Braden men are hot, sexy and sweet, who doesn't love that! Secondly, B.J. Harrison's voice when he narrates these Braden stories is so smooth, and he draws you further in to the book

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nate would be my favorite in this book. He has so many sides to him. He is so serious when it comes to Jewel and the possibility of their relationship. He is also understanding when it comes to her fears. He's any readers dream guy.

Have you listened to any of B.J. Harrison’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to many of his narrations in the past Nraden series. I love how his voice just draws you in to the story, it's like you are part of the Braden world.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely, and I was sad when it came to an end.

Sweet and sexy small town romance

Healed By Love is a friends to lovers, sort of second chance story. It combines sweet small town romance and sexy heat with lots of chemistry between the main characters.
Nate Braden has always loved Jewel, his best friend Rick’s kid sister. Nate returns from his tour overseas as a hero, but Rick didn’t make it home and Nate harbors so much guilt. He tries to keep his distance while still watching out for Jewel as a promise to Rick.
Jewel has been on her own and doesn’t know if she wants the complications that Nate represents especially when she is so confused by Nate’s running hot and cold.
I listened to this story on audiobook and loved the narration. B.J. Harrison really helped bring the book to life!

It is wonderful to be healed by love.

This is a most beautiful story. It is a very emotional book. Nate had lost his best friend, and Jewel had lost her brother, but their love for each other can help them both to heal. I have to say that that there were lots of tears while I was listening to this book, but I felt like it helped me to heal too. With the powerful combination of Melissa Foster and her outstanding writing and B.J. Harrison and his outstanding narration, it definitely earns its five stars.

Healed by Love -a must Listen!

This beautiful Melissa Foster book was made sweeter by listening to it narrated by BJ Harrison. He has such a smooth voice and often surprised me in the fun way he represented the characters. This story about Nate Braden and Jewel Fisher is full of emotion. Nate returns from the military carrying a load of guilt. Jewel's brother Rick was killed and Nate feels responsible. Nate also feels something for Jewell. Will he be able to move beyond his guilt? BJ Harrison really brings Melissa Foster's words to life. Loved this audio book.

Nate and Jewell

Nate Braden has been in love with Jewell Fisher for a very long time. The only problem is, she is his best friends’ sister. Nate and Rick served in Afghanistan together when a snipper takes Rick’s life on a mission given to him by Nate. Now Nate lives with survivor’s guilt.

After the death of her father and then her brother, Jewell has stepped in to help her mother with her younger siblings. She is a little over the top with her overbearing, paranoid ways; so much so that she does not have a life of her own. As Nate and Jewell confess their feelings for one another, will Jewell be able to forgive Nate when he finally reveals that the mission that got Rick killed was handed down by him. Will Nate forgiven himself so that he and Jewell will be able to find their HEA?

An emotional, satisfying read!

This has to be one of my favorite Melissa Foster books so far. You have an average every-day kind of guy in Nate. Yes, he was in the military and has survivor's guilt because he survived and his best friend didn't, but he's still just the guy next door. Jewell is the little sister of Nate's best friend (yeah...I love that trope). She's got her own issues after losing first her father and then her big brother. She's constantly afraid of losing someone else, which has made her a control freak where her family is concerned.
Nate has to fight his own battles and Jewell's in order to have a relationship with her. He's also been keeping a secret...a secret that could totally tear them apart. If Jewell can forgive Nate when he finally tells her the secret, he might be able to help her in return. She has to decide if "they" are worth all the pain.
Emotions were front and foremost in this book and there was deep character development in the process. A great writing job by Melissa Foster and the narration by B.J. Harrison was superb, as always!

Loved everything about this couple

Audiobook:  Narrator - B.J. Harrison

Another amazing narration by Mr. Harrison.  With the ability to pull me emotionally into the story, I was completely caught up in this book.  I loved the excitement, edge of drama and wit that he gave to each and every one of the characters.

While this had a higher angst, it did not consume the story.  Both Nate and Jewel had issues to deal with that related to her brother’s death so I was expecting it to be pretty heavy.  It was actually pretty well balanced with the relationship drama, family issues and working through Rick’s death.

I loved that Nate had been in love with Jewel for years.  Everyone pretty much knows it except for her.  He was so sweet and gentle with her, but knew when to give her the little push she needed.

I consider this to be a bit o a slow burn.  Although this couple do have a few physical moments, they did not consummate their relationship until very close to the end.  It was all pretty much perfect, in my opinion.
