How intriguing!

After about three years of listening to mysteries, I kept waiting for someone to be murdered. I was delightfully surprised!

Why in American?

Love Jill Mansell. Liked the narrator's voice. Struggled with Americanisms throughout. Diaper, trash, leash... 😞

Beware- edited for the American market!

Good story but the use of American words is thoroughly irritating. Yard instead of garden, trash instead of bin, vacation instead of holiday and so on. A warning would have been welcome.

Good story

The reason for not giving 5 stars is the book is set in England with English actors but lots of words have been changed for the American market. By the end of the book it was really winding me up. Trash instead of rubbish, diapers instead of nappies, hood instead of bonnet, sidewise instead of sideways it went on. Any possible English word was changed to American English. The actual story was very good but l would hesitate to listen to another from this author incase it happened again.
