Publisher's summary
Millions and millions of years ago, when the big bang happened in the universe, and the Earth was created... People believed that it was an act of evil that made Adam eat the apple; it wasn’t that something went wrong that day, as you see, all good and bad thoughts came from two rooms in a faraway galaxy. One room was covered by a blue cloth, and one room was covered by a black cloth, and both were controlled by special codes. And with help from other creatures in the galaxy, the good room could control human thoughts.
That was, until a huge war started with a creature called Griller turning bad, forcing the galaxies gods to banish all the creatures and the cloths to Earth, never to be found. That was until one day, thousands of years later, Hayden and his dad discover the good cloth and its contents hidden in a mountains cave. The good cloth turns into a coat with a code that has superpowers, and Hayden becomes a superhero overnight, being named coded boy.
But behind the good that was also in the mountain was the bad black cloth, and a creature called Quahcain that is looking for it. Quahcain wants to find the answers and bring Griller back, which will bring darkness to the world.

Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Great story plus wonderful narrator!
Very interesting concept of the galaxy and great storyline. I loved the ideas of the blue coat and black coat controlling people's thoughts. The narrator can act several characters at one time. Definitely amazing!

What a wonderful story!
I love a good story of good vs evil. And the narrator did an amazing job telling it. My little cousin and I was entertained all the way through. I would like to listen to more books with this Hayden character. Very impressed with the authors creativity. Please make more books like this!

Perfect book for a roadtrip
This is a story about Hayden and his father coming across a magical coded coat that he was unable to take off. The story is easy to follow. It is a perfect children story (which I would know because I have read hundreds to my children in my past 2 years).
The narrator gave an engaging performance that keeps me and my children interested till the end. Highly recommended!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AMAZING STORY!!!
I was hooked from the very beginning of this charming and very adventurous story about good versus evil, growing up, family relationships...and so much more! The author has an incredible imagination and sense of humor and, though I am not the usual audience for a book like this, I couldn't stop listening. The narrator was also excellent. I would highly recommend this book for anyone with children. If only mine were younger!?!

Genesis of an Epic Battle of Good Versus Evil
I enjoyed this story and reading because I felt like I was listening to a movie. This is a fun origins tale that made me think of Doug Adams and Monty Python. Themes of bullying and coming of age are woven throughout this magical superhero tales.
I especially like how the story set me up for the next one. The voicing was very entertaining and added to the overall quality.

Really fun
Loved the narration, especially the Scottish teacher and the bad guys! Very well done.
I loved the imagination of the boy and how he solved problems with his coat. I struggled to follow the story when the topic goes to the history of the black cloth and the siblings. At that point I wondered if I was listening to the same story I began with. Overall a really fun imaginative listen!

This was a pleasant surprise!
I must confess I didn’t expect this from a children’s book! Very original and entertaining, and the way it ends leaves you wanting more. Off to the next book in the series!

Fun, Adventurous, And Humorous
Having listened to the second book prior to starting this one, I have to admit that it surely did not disappoint. The story is just as fun, adventurous, and humorous as I would have expected. The narration is also very well done. Recommended.
