the story was a beautiful story and well written.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator. The audio version needs a narrator with better tonality.

What did you like best about this story?

As usual, this story was consistent with the authors beautiful gift for writing. She needs to listen to her narrators as Joy Hooper should be off her list

What three words best describe Joy C. Hooper’s voice?

Horrible, squeaky, boring

I love the series, but...

I do not like the reading by Joy Hooper. I prefer the other young lady.

Too long and blah

I couldn't wait until the end. I'm a fan of Alers, but this whole series has left a lot to be desired. The plot was predictable and boring. The narrator did little to empress me. I like the concept of the island but I'm left looking for more.

excellent book

the writer is excellent and has amazing stories. however listening to this book was the worst. the narrator was so dull and boring as a rock. She did not bring life to the characters they all sounded the same. Great books like what this author writes needs someone that could pull you into the story. This narrator failed miserable.

Talk about throwing stones!

Nate & Morgan. This story dragged on a little to long for me because all of the descriptions of every one & everything. Nate & Morgan as a couple were kind of boring. That being said the thing that stands out for me is the conversations between Nate & his stepmother & Nate & his Father. They both called Nate's ex-wife an emaciated whore, which she may well have been, but, the word whore should have been the last word out of either of their mouths. Considering the fact that the step mother who was supposed to be Nate's mother's best friend, slept with & got pregnant by her best friends husband aka Nate's father (IN THE MARRITAL BED) while Nate's mother lay on her death bed. While the ex admitted to sleeping around, it was never inferred or implied that she did so with any ones husband. People make mistakes but then to compound it by inferring that the wronged party was in on it & okay with it was just ridiculous. The wife may have wanted them to take care of her children together & possibly be together later but while she's dying from cancer (ON HER DEATH BED) Really? These two fools sounded like they were trying to get their story straight before they meet their maker. The problem here was neither of them was sorry. It came off like two old people trying to figure out a way into Heaven without really confessing their sin, just making excuses, by the way according to the word the husband is the whore since he was married, the best friend is a slut since she was unmarried & evidentially didn't read the one about not coveting.

No Interest

For some reason, this book just did not catch my attention. Maybe it was just me. Also the Narrator had no emotion in her voice. After chapter 10, I bounced through the rest of the chapters without even listening all the way through.
