the story was a beautiful story and well written.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator. The audio version needs a narrator with better tonality.

What did you like best about this story?

As usual, this story was consistent with the authors beautiful gift for writing. She needs to listen to her narrators as Joy Hooper should be off her list

What three words best describe Joy C. Hooper’s voice?

Horrible, squeaky, boring

I love the series, but...

I do not like the reading by Joy Hooper. I prefer the other young lady.

Too long and blah

I couldn't wait until the end. I'm a fan of Alers, but this whole series has left a lot to be desired. The plot was predictable and boring. The narrator did little to empress me. I like the concept of the island but I'm left looking for more.

excellent book

the writer is excellent and has amazing stories. however listening to this book was the worst. the narrator was so dull and boring as a rock. She did not bring life to the characters they all sounded the same. Great books like what this author writes needs someone that could pull you into the story. This narrator failed miserable.

Terrible Narrator

I liked the story OK but it did drag on longer than needed. The narrator was awful and took away from the story. It sounded like she was reading the actual book and pausing (as if there was a comma or other punctuation) at the end of each typed lane on the page, even when it was clearly in the middle of a thought, or sentence or phrase.

Needs a better narrator

I was excited to begin the second book in this series. I just can’t get past the narrators voice. The book is probably good, but I’ll never know.

Haven Creek

This book was not good in my opinion. I liked book one and was curious to hear the connections and story line in book 2. The narrator was not good at all and unfortunately it made it difficult for me to connect with the story. Her voice was not a good reflection of the characters. I felt lost in all the characters and just not pulled in. I’ll finish the series but sadly, book two gets a thumbs down for me.

Did not enjoy the narration

The narrator pronounced many words wrong. I almost quit listening to it a couple times but was trying to enjoy the story. The whole style of the narrator was very boring.
