I wish I would have listened to this sooner. I loved it. What an emotional journey!!! This was a great story with depth and relatability. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

Captivating, intense, wonderful!

Emily feels like she is finally getting in a routine for single parenthood when he sons father moves back to town perminately and turns her world upside down. Will they be able to move through the twists and turns of life for their 4 year old son?

I loved this story. Author Kathryn Knight did a wonderful job capturing my attention, creating relatable and loveable characters, having a plot with many twists and turns plus she tugged at my heartstrings for Emily, Brett and Tyler.

I listened to this in audiobook form. The narrator Kristin (KJ) James is the best narrator I have ever heard.

More than a Ghost Story!

What a book! I loved the original storyline this book had. The imaginary friend of their son was so much more than expected. I loved how the couple healed each other and revealed their secrets. The book has some very unexpected twists in the story, which added to it. This book is part romance, part suspense, and part paranormal which worked out so well. I was pulled into the book from the very beginning and thought the ending was so fitting. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I thought the narration on this book added to the enjoyment, with the distinguished voices for various characters. I will definitely listen to more books by Kathryn Knight and Kristin James.

What Haunts You?

This story made me ache as these two tried to work things out. The pain of not knowing he had a son for 4 years devastated Brett. Emily knew she was a bad person by not telling him, but in her own right she did try. It seemed fate was against them. When Brett came back to town 4 years later, she braved the truth instead of lying to him. There was always something deep between these two, but circumstances and ambitions drove them apart. This story has a Gothic feel to it with the ghosts added in, but that is what will drive these two to rethink their relationship. This story is well developed and emotional. It made me think about some of my choices in life. How different my life would be if I made different choices.

Nothing like you'd expect, A wonderful love story

When I first began to read this book, I definitely didn't imagine that I could walk away from it with all the feels! It's such a sweet love story. The characters are very easy to connect to and empathize with in their struggles. The narrator does an awesome job switching between characters and I still felt like I was being transported into their world. I have read all of Kathryn Knight's books and although this isn't my most favorite, I was not surprised to be immediately sucked in and want to know what was going to happen when 3 year old Tyler brings home a new friend, a ghost.
