Publisher's summary

There does not seem to be any shortage of spirits and apparitions in this world, and they do not seem to be limited by time, place or situation. There is of course the standard bearer of haunted locales, the scary “haunted house” on the dead end street of a dark isolated neighborhood, but there are also instances of haunting that take on many more myriad forms than this commonly overused trope might lead you to believe.

There are haunted taverns, haunted amusement parks, and even haunted subway systems. These events seem to transcend any kind of label or classification that we attempt to put upon them. Whatever the entities may be that are behind these strange occurrences, it is readily apparent that they can manifest anywhere or anytime completely unhindered by any barrier, physical or otherwise.

But if we were to look into these strange hauntings a little bit further we just might find that these frightful specters are just as afraid of us as we are of them. Like some residents of a haunted estate have found that most of the ghosts they encountered were more frightened of them than anything else. The spirits seem genuinely startled when they encounter the living residents of the home as if their mere presence overwhelms them with the sad realization of the lives that they have lost.

So these poor lost souls and earthbound spirits are forever relegated to the hallways of homes, the byways of train stations and the cursed grounds of amusement parks.... Sometimes you have to wonder, is it the dead that haunt the living or the living that haunt the dead?

Here is a preview of what's inside....

  • Haunted: Phantoms at Fox Hollow Farms
  • Haunted: The Octagon House Haunting
  • Haunted: The White Eagle Cafe
  • Haunted: Aurora’s Haunted Cat House
  • And much more!

Good, short book with interesting stories.

I enjoyed this book. It was a lot of more modern stories instead of the same old gothic tales you hear over and over again. I just wish it would have been longer!
